1 airbackup installation and AdmiCash backup airbackup airbackup is an elegant solution for an external and safe backup of your system. The software provides various functions for the backup and restoration of your data. The PC s files and settings are encoded and transferred online to a high security computer center, where from they can be recovered at any time in case of loss of data. The exact time and frequency of your backups can be defined in the airbackup settings in a way that they are created regularly without your manual confirmation. This simple, but effective strategy guarantees you the existence of a current backup at any time and simultaneously the protection against any loss of data. Conditions For the successful installation and use of airbackup you only need a correctly installed PC or MAC, as well as an internet access. Installation and Setup Perform the following steps in order to install and set up airbackup: Download the latest version of airbackup on Follow the instructions until the software installation is complete. Enter your account information into the fields of the window shown below, as well as the desired frequency for your data backups. 2 The chosen settings can be changed any time via the menu Backup Select files. In order to save AdmiCash, please perform the following steps: Verify first, where the AdmiCash data is saved. Therefor open a company in AdmiCash. Then choose the menu Company Settings where the actual storage location is shown. Open airbackup. Select the AdmiCash folder on the according hard disk. 3 The next window gives you a short explanation about the airbackup manager, which allows you to organize the backups created on different devices. In order to open it, click the button Manage devices and sign in with a user name and password. With this last step the installation and setup of airbackup is complete. The programme now initiates the creation of the first data backup. A status message is displayed in the upper right corner of the window. Advanced settings Via the menu Options advanced settings can be defined. The options Schedule and Scripts are briefly explained here. Schedule: This option allows you to define, when exactly new data backups are created. AdmiCash GmbH 3902 Glis 3

4 Scripts: The option Scripts allows you to set up commands, which are automatically executed before or after the creation of a data backup, e.g. the command to shut down your computer automatically right after the backup. With the command shutdown and additional components, you can refine how the computer is shut down: /s : Shut down computer. /f : Forces shutting all open programs with no warning. The parameter /f is included, if the value entered for the parameter /t is bigger than 0. -t : Defines the waiting time before shutting down the computer. Valid range: (10 years), whereas the standard value is 30. In case the waiting time exceeds 0, the parameter /f is included. Please do not enter shutdown for the script name, but a different name such as (e.g. PCshutdown). Example: You wish to shut down your computer one hour after the data backup and to close all open programs with no warning. Enter the following command: shutdown -s -f -t In order to activate the new command, open the menu Schedules and choose the script either in the list Pre-backup or/and Post-backup. 5 Data recovery With airbackup you can save either the entire system or separate programs or files. Proceed as follows to do so: Open airbackup. Choose the menu Restore. Mark the files to restore and confirm your selection by clicking on the Restore button. Note In case you need to restore AdmiCash files, e.g. in case of broken files after a system crash, please do always restore the entire folder, given that the restoration of individual files may lead to defective data. When you restore AdmiCash on a new computer, please always install the latest update of the program before working with it. The update creates the AdmiCash icon on the desktop, as well as in the program folder. Besides that, the uninstall information is entered into the control panel.
