Robin Pinkley is a recognized authority on strategic negotiation and conflict management. She is the author of the book Get Paid What You re Worth: The Expert Negotiators Guide to Salary and Compensation. Her articles have appeared in publications including the Journal of Applied Psychology, International Journal of Conflict Management and the Academy of Management. Pinkley has consulted with numerous corporate and government organizations such as General Electric, JPMorgan Chase, Mobil and NASA. She is frequently quoted in the media on topics related to corporate negotiations. William Bill Dillon is the 16th most prolific scholar in the world based upon his publications in the top four marketing journals over the past 25 years. He is the author of four textbooks, two of which have appeared in the prestigious Wiley Series in Probability and Statistics. Dillon is a pioneer in the area of latent class analysis and structural equation modeling with application to segmentation, product positioning and new product forecasting. More recent interests include modeling household panel data, the impact of product assortment on retailer choice, and brand equity assessment. In 1994, he co-founded Marketing and Planning Systems, a marketing research consultancy, which was acquired by WPP in Kumar Venkataraman specializes in market microstructure and writes about financial market design; evaluation of trading strategies; and functioning of equity, debt and commodity markets. He has published work in major international financial and accounting journals, including the Journal of Finance; in textbooks and industry publications, such as The CFA Digest; and in business press, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron s, Financial Times, The Economist and Bloomberg News. Venkataraman teaches courses in investments and has repeatedly received the Outstanding Teaching Award in the Cox MBA and Cox BBA programs. 15 Jacquelyn Thomas has conducted research in customer relationship management, database and direct marketing, customer equity analysis, marketing metrics and multichannel retailing. She is co-author of the book Customer Equity: Building and Managing Relationships as Valuable Assets, and her work has appeared in such publications as the Journal of International Marketing, Marketing Letters and Harvard Business Review. At Cox, Thomas regularly teaches courses in marketing management, marketing strategy and database marketing. She also serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Marketing and Journal of Relationship Marketing. Hemang Desai is a leading expert on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, short selling and financial reporting. His work on spinoffs, short sellers, management turnover, earnings restatements, stock-splits and analyst recommendations have appeared in top academic journals such as the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics and The Accounting Review, as well as top practitioner journals such as the Financial Analysts Journal. In addition, Desai s research has been the subject of various articles at publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Barron s, The New York Times and CFO Magazine, among others. His consulting clients have included companies such as McKinsey & Co., Entergy Corp. and Baker & McKenzie. Desai is a recipient of teaching awards in executive education as well as in undergraduate and MBA programs.
