6 PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES (selected examples) Co-developed an undergraduate degree in Global Studies (2015). Developed a dual enrollment Law Track initiative to tie it to the BA-JD program (2013). Developed a course on Human Trafficking as part of the reaccreditation initiative (2012). Developed a Minor in International Relations and all of the International Relations courses in the Political Science major ( present). Co-directed, designed and implemented international seminars for business faculty with the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) and LACC, taking business faculty to Argentina, Brazil, and Chile (1996 and 1998). LEADERSHIP ROLES (selected examples) Member of the Law-Liaison committee, the Catholic Identity Committee and a new initiative to institutionalize internships for all students (2015). Chaired the St. Thomas University Presidential university-wide committee on the Mission of the University ( ). This committee helped change the mission and the vision of St. Thomas University. Member of the Quality Enhancement Plan Committee for reaccreditation of St. Thomas University (2013). In the absence of a director, acted as the de facto director of the newly created Office of International Studies at Florida International University ( ). Revised and implemented procedures to improve transparency and accountability for all study abroad programs at Florida International University. Managed international exchange agreements for faculty and students and specific international programs such as Fulbright. Helped in the initial stages of the development of a new building to host international programs and the development of the first steps to centralize international programs at Florida International University. Assisted with the reorganization and consolidation of new and old programs and initiatives for the newly created College of Urban and Public Affairs at Florida International University ( ). Established procedures for the Office of the Dean to respond to student and faculty needs. Assisted with the budget for the college and managed the Dean s office budget. Supervised the Dean s office staff and implemented programs to train faculty and staff on the newly developed campaign titled Every Student Counts.
