9 Regional Economic Effects of Wind Power for Schleswig-Holstein & Market Potentials 9 Expansion ofonshorewind Power in Schleswig-Holstein from2013 New wind power zones: c. 13,200 ha new wind power zones declared. This means that the wind zones have more than doubled from 0.8 % to 1.7 % of the surface area of the state. Investment effects Project realisation within the new wind zones plus continued repowering can result in the new erection of at least 3,500 MW by This represents an investment volume of over 5 billion euros.
