3 Meet the World in Denmark! - the centre of offshore wind 2014 Since the world s first offshore wind farm was erected in Denmark in 1991 a significant renewable industry has emerged. Operators, producers and subsuppliers of products and services plus a range of research and educational institutions are involved in this sector in a very active and focused way. On behalf of this sector it is a pleasure for us to invite you to the 8th Offshore Wind International Business2Business event in Denmark - OWIB. OWIB 2014 is a 2-day event offering optimal opportunities for both networking and gaining new knowledge. It s been really good. I have met a lot of people in the offshore wind supply chain, who I would not otherwise have met. 5 Meet companies at your own choice! - pre-booked Business2Business meetings 2014 OWIB is a network event dedicated to creating contacts to potential customers, suppliers and cooperative partners within the offshore wind industry. It is an alternative to traditional conferences where the right people can often be difficult to find. At OWIB, participants have the opportunity to pre-book meetings with participating companies, thus maximizing efficiency. Participants include companies from a large range of offshore wind countries spanning all levels of the supply chain. How the Business2Business event works The purpose of the Business2Business event is to offer the frames for short personal meetings between your company and potential business partners. By joining the event you will be able to meet companies at your own choice. Each meeting lasts 15 minutes and you have the possibility to plan a maximum of 17 meetings. In order to join the event, please follow these 3 steps: 1) Register online at 2) 3 weeks before the event you will be able to log into B2Bplanner tool, enabling you to view profiles of all participants and make meeting requests. 3) Prior to the event you will receive a time schedule informing you of the times of your meetings. Use this as your agenda during the Business2Business sessions. We ve got a lot out of it, including enquiries from other companies. Now we need to follow up on these inquiries, but it is almost the same as a direct order.
