Beautiful and modern Oslo is welcoming you all warmly to this event. Our world needs musical and spiritual input and Concours Grieg is a strong contribution towards this. 3 Welcome to the 11th Concours Grieg in Oslo, Norway! Concours Grieg is an international piano competition that - for ten years - has set the highest standard for musical excellence and artistic achievement, attracting pianists from all over the world. We have had a lot of exciting and brilliant winners. For the eleventh year in a row, we have again invited pianists to take part in the international Grieg piano competition - Concours Grieg - in beautiful Oslo, Norway. Participants will perform in any of the three categories: Two-Piano Duo Piano Four Hands Duo Solo Piano Concours Grieg is a joint venture of collaboration between The Oslo Grieg Society, The Norwegian E.P.T.A (European Piano Teachers Association), The Oslo Music Teachers Society (OMLF), The Norwegian Academy of Music, The Oslo University College (Høgskolen i Oslo), and with support by The Norwegian League of Soloists (NTKS). In cooperation with Ibla Music Foundation, New York and Sicily. Concours Grieg is a member of the Alink-Argerich Foundation. This year the Norwegian composer Kjell Mørk Karlsen has written one new piece for each of the three categories specially for the competition.
