1 EmployOn s Employer Services Manual
2 Become a Member will prompt you to create a username and password. It will also require you to enter your contact information. Once you have completed the necessary information, simply click Sign Up. The username and password you created are now active. Employers may access and edit their registration information by accessing the Account Info link in the site s footer. It is important for employers to keep their address current, as this address is used for key features within the site. 2
3 Resume Search 1. Description For maximum results, we strongly suggest taking advantage of this Description search. A job s skills, experience and/or qualifications should be entered in this section. 2. "Must Have" Words Enter any specific words that you d like included in the concept search. You can also use boolean operators to further enhance the detail of your search. This search criteria works stand alone or in conjunction with the location and description search mechanisms. To perform Boolean expression queries, simply describe the desired terms, in the "Must Have Words" field, using the following operators: AND - Ensures that both terms are matched in every document that is returned. 3
4 For example: Knowledge AND Management returns documents that contain both "Knowledge" and "Management". NOT - Ensures that the term following NOT is excluded from any of the returned documents. For example: JAVA AND NOT XML only returns documents that contain "JAVA" and not "XML". OR - One or both terms must appear for the document to be returned. This is the default behavior if no explicit operator is given between two terms. For example: Ecommerce OR Finance returns documents that contain either "Ecommerce", "Finance" or both terms. 3. Desired Location Enter the appropriate City, State and the miles around the location you would like to search. 4. Results/Page Select whether you would like to view 25, 50 or 100 resumes per page. 5. Number of days to search you can choose how far back in the database you would like to search. For example, if you place 7 in the filter, you will only return resumes that have been added to the database in the last seven days. 4
5 Resume Results Your results will contain: A link to the resume text A brief view of the first portion of the resume The location listed on the resume 5
6 Saved Searches If you wish to save your search criteria so you can run it at a later date. Click on the Save Search link at the top of the page. To View and/or Run your Saved Searches Click on the Saved Searches Link. 6
7 Agents If you wish to set-up your Saved Search to automatically you when there are matching results, click on the Setup link on the Saved Searches Page. 1. Give your agent a name 2. Select Yes on the Save as Agent menu 3. Select the frequency at which you wish to receive s 7
8 Resume Results Upon clicking on the link to the full resume, you enter the Candidate Details page. Here you can: View the resume in its entirety Contact the candidate by Access the Candidate details tab navigation features Features on the tab navigation bar allow you to: 1. Return to your resume results page 2. View the original resume 3. Print the resume 8
9 View Original Resume Viewing the original resume allows for the resume to be viewed and printed in its original format. If you wish to print the resume in this format, click File and then print from your toolbar. 9
10 Candidate The address will populate in the To section of the message. 10
11 Employer Job Posting The job posting can be created by completing the following steps. 1. Job Definition The Job Definition will provide the Employer the ability to enter the following information in the job posting: a. Reference Number b. Job Title c. Job Description d. Applicant Requirements e. Job Category (drop down list to select from) f. Education (drop down list to select from) g. Start Date h. Position Type (drop down list to select from) i. Citizenship (drop down list to select from) j. Travel k. Salary (Hourly or Annual) l. Paid Vacation (Yes or No) m. Weeks to be posted Employer will list how long they would like their postings to be available 11
12 Employer Job Posting 2. Job Location Employers can list the City, State and Zip code where the job is located. 3. Contact Information Employers can list the appropriate contact information for the job seekers to apply to the posted position. Contact information is automatically populated from the users account information. A contact name and valid address are required. When the job posting is created, this address will be used as a Mailto for job application purposes. By clicking View, the Employer will be able to see their completed job posting. Once the view is accepted and the job has been posted, the posting will appear on the job search portal within 24 hours. 12
13 4. Current Postings The Current Postings page allows employers to view the status of their new and active job postings. This page provides access to view the posting and take action on the live posting. The actions available to the employer are edit, delete, and archive. In all cases the action will be initiated within 24 hours of completion. In addition to the above actions, tracking information is also available. The employer can see how many days left on the target posting as well as the number of times a posting has been viewed and how many times the job seekers have clicked the apply button. 13
14 Suggest A Site For those employers that already have jobs posted on their sites, and want to make sure they are included in the Neotechjobs.com site. Just click on the Suggest a Site tab and then enter the website address. Your suggested web site will then be added to the list of new sites to be included within the jobs portal. 14
15 Salary Salary.com can be accessed quickly and easily through the Salary tab. This will redirect the user to the salary.com website where research on job descriptions and a salary look up feature is available. 15
