3 Overview The purpose of this document is to provide Service Providers step-by-step instructions on how to become Lenovo Qualified according to the terms and conditions of the Authorized Service Providers Program. All mandatory Lenovo Courses must be taken on the Lenovo Learning website ( Registering at Lenovo Learning In order to be registered to the Lenovo Learning site, please have your Service Manager or Profile Administrator create your profile on the Lenovo Services Portal ( By doing so, you will be assigned an Authorization ID which is unique to you. Should the Profile Administrator or Service Manager require assistance on how to create an Authorization ID, they may resort to the Profile Managing User Guide, also available on the SMSC website or contact the SMSC (contact details at the end of this guide). Once your profile has been created on the Lenovo Services Portal, you will be automatically registered to the Lenovo Learning Site and you will receive an from Lenovo Learning within 24 hours to set your password. If you do not receive this you may contact the Lenovo Learning help desk by clicking on the contact us option at the bottom of their home page. Make sure to include your 10-digit Authorization ID number. Should you have any doubts on whether a profile has already been created for you, please have your Service Manager or Profile Administrator verify if you are listed among your Location s associated contacts in the Lenovo Services Portal. If you are already associated, and have not received the registration from Lenovo Learning to the account provided when your profile was created, please contact the Lenovo Learning support team to obtain login credentials by clicking on the contact us, as shown above. 4 Make sure to include your 10-digit Authorization ID number. Lenovo Learning User ID address entered when creating your profile on the Lenovo Services Portal will serve as your User ID for the Lenovo Learning site. It is advisable to use the address provided by the company and please refrain from using general or shared addresses, such as Access to the Lenovo Learning site does not grant access to the Lenovo Services Portal. Certifications Uploaded to my Lenovo Services Portal Profile Once a course is completed, its completion will flow from the Lenovo Learning site to the Lenovo Services Portal within 24 hours. If the 24-hour period has elapsed and the course is still not listed in your profile, please provide the SMSC with the completed course certifications via so that we may update your profile manually. Lenovo Learning Password Reset Should you need to have your password reset, please click on the forgot your password link on the Lenovo Learning home page. Lenovo Lenovo Learning Guide 4

5 You will be prompted to complete your address; once completed click on Send. An will be sent automatically with a link to reset your password. Should any error occur during this process, please use the Contact us option as shown above. Required Certifications You will be required to take the below certifications, depending on the relationships assigned to your profile on the Lenovo Services Portal. Service Manager Only Lenovo Service Support Guide (RWSW111) is a confirmation that you have reviewed and understand the Lenovo Service Support Guide (SSG). The SSG is intended for use by Lenovo Authorized Service Providers from the US and Canada, including Resellers and Self Maintainers. Completion of the acknowledgement question is required for Location Activation. Warranty Basics The Admin and Basic certifications cover Lenovo policies, training requirements, technical support, and escalation procedures. These courses establish a common knowledge level as a prerequisite for all other training. Service Managers and Administrators are required to pass the RAWAdmin in order to obtain Service Portal access. Certification Description Warranty Basics for Service Managers and Claim Administrators Warranty Basics for Technicians and Profile Administrators Certification ID RAWAdmin RAWBasics Technician Certification The Warranty Basics and Tech Certifications are available on-line and as a downloadable ISO image. Each course takes 2 to 4 hours depending on the experience level of the technician. 6 Training Site Usage Access the Lenovo Learning site at enter your Username and Password and click Sign In. On the home page you will be able to search any desired courses from the search box on the upper part of the page. Lenovo Lenovo Learning Guide 6

7 Also, you will be able to see all the courses to which you have been automatically enrolled. You are only required to take the mandatory courses, as mentioned above, but you are welcome to take any other course which you consider will be useful to you. You will be automatically enrolled for the RAService related modules so that you may pass the RWST016 exam and become a Lenovo qualified technician. You may prepare for the RWST016 exam by studying the courses in the Warranty Service Authorization Curriculum education roadmaps. 8 Please note that it will take 24 hours for completion of training to flow to the Lenovo Services Portal. Lenovo Learning Concerns For concerns related to Lenovo Learning, other than a password reset, you may contact the Lenovo Learning help desk by clicking on the Help button located at the bottom righthand corner of your home page.
