1 Michigan FY2015 AmeriCorps State & National Grant Coversheet Below is a breakdown of the funding being awarded to Michigan. The state competitive funding and state formula funding will be granted to the Michigan Community Service Commission, the governor-appointed State Service Commission. The Commission will, in turn, award grants to nonprofit organizations and/or public agencies responding to local needs across the state. The number of Michigan residents prepared for disasters will increase. AmeriCorps members will recruit and support volunteers who will be engaged in various parts of the program.
