It includes the time required for delivery and the associated cost, a description of the proposed deliverables, a description of any key risks and issues that have been identified and a list of any assumptions made. Project overview Duration Deliverables 31/03/14-20/06/14 Crossway Foundation website Responsive build CMS integration This project is the design and build of a new, fully responsive website for The Crossway Foundation that consolidates and The Crossway Foundation will be a place where young people can find out about arts and education initiatives between the UK and the Middle East. It will allow for the promotion of arts education, creative collaborations and understanding between two cultures, as well as providing support, inspiration, and a platform for a new generation of artists.

2 It will display the following content: Home Competitions Journeys Events Alumni Our Story Project Approach The majority of the project will largely follow a traditional waterfall approach, where project phases follow one another in succession, but some independent work streams such as design and production will run concurrently to allow for time efficiencies. The project will run in phases, and each phase will have to be signed off before the following one commences. Process The project will follow a waterfall process, including the following phases: Project scoping and planning IA/UX Design Build (client and server-side development) QA Deployment Progression will depend on client approval between each phases, except for between build and QA. More details may be found in the accompanying timing plan enclosed. Please note that amends or changes which go against decisions made during previous phases will be considered a change request and will be charged separately. Going back a step may also result in extra charges. UX This will include all research, planning, a workshop, and responsive, interactive wireframes. The responsive prototype will be created in Axure covering the most common breakpoints across desktop and mobile. The prototype will cover the overall structure, and

3 user journey of the website, and will be based on the approved sitemap. Design Suburb will commence with all concepting, branding, and core page designs for this project, using the look and feel of as a starting point. Designs will follow the wireframes with adjustments if necessary. Design decisions that cause changes in the wireframes may be considered a change request and will be quoted separately. Technical Production The website will be built using HTML/JavaScript/CSS3 to load dynamic content through a CMS tool. Functionality will be supported on latest browsers with a fallback for older browsers. Homepage The homepage will be the central hub of the site, and a place for users to return to. The Crossway Foundation video will be showcased at the top of the page and there will be a mosaic of clickable alumni headshots just below the fold. This page will include a parallax animation effect. Competitions The Competitions page will have three states to match the yearly cycle of Create & Inspire. These three states will be the following: Pre-launch/register interest Live Closed. When closed, users will be directed to Journey so that they can track the current Create & Inspire entrants. There will be a page covering off the competition Terms & Conditions, a Privacy Policy page covering data capture, and an archive page for all previous competition marketing materials. (There will also be a chance to navigate to Alumni from here in order to view past competition winners). Journeys

4 The landing page for Journeys will combine an archive of past content, (from 2007 onwards), with the most recent. Social content for the latest trip will be pulled through using a standard timeline based on the Twitter API. Facebook links will also be included. (no trip in 2009) Events For Events, the landing page will display the latest workshops, screenings, and upcoming events. There will be filtered results on single page consisting of a mix of 'tagged' content. The main tag categories are as follows: Workshops - latest and upcoming workshops. Screenings - latest and upcoming workshops. Talks - latests and upcoming talks. Alumni Alumni will be a place where users can find out more about the young people who have already been through the project. There will be a featured Ambassador on the landing page with the option to explore select Alumni Ambassadors further. Our Story For Our Story, the landing page will include a video, an overview of The Crossway Foundation and a link to Detour TV. There could also potentially be an external link to The Story Microsite, (if not Detour TV). There will also be separate pages here for the following: Team & Trustees - Overview of the team Press - Featured press and links to press articles/releases Partners - Overview and links to external sites

5 QA and review On completion of the build, Suburb will run quality assurance of the website across all browsers supported, as detailed in the browser matrix below. Client review cycles will be mapped out during production, but are likely to be approximately one per phase. These will be clearly marked in the accompanying timing plan. Deployment and Post-Live QA QA will be performed by Zoonou. All issues will be logged on Lighthouse issue tracking software and actioned by Suburb accordingly. Deployment to live sites will only ever be triggered manually, whereas any staging site will automatically reflect the current state of the codebase. Responsive Design The website will be developed with a responsive design, so that it can be properly displayed in mobile and tablet devices. Breakpoints will include desktop/tablet and mobile. Hover effects are not available on touch screens so these will either be interpreted as touch/click events by the device or events will be developed to respond to touch events specifically. Progressive Enhancement The website will be built using the progressive enhancement approach. This means that we will build a basic version for older browsers and add enhancements for modern browsers that can handle them. CMS This scope is based on the assumption of the use of Wordpress as the CMS tool for this site. Users will have different content authoring and publishing permissions to allow for stricter control over live content. Admin users will be able to add, edit and remove permissions through the admin tool too.

Suitable hosting solutions for staging and production environments to be provided by The Crossway Foundation, with access given to Suburb where required. Note: The build will utilise the LAMP platform. Our development environment is Ubuntu Assumptions Client is responsible for purchasing any required webfont licences. Each phase will have to be signed off before the next one commences. There will be one round of feedback per phase, before sign off will be required. There will be 5 days for feedback to be received and supplied to Suburb. Any amends to design or functionality after approval will be considered a change request. Admin tool license (if required) will be purchased by the client prior to any development. QA and Cross Browser testing is included in this quote, however final User Acceptance Testing will be the responsibility of the client. Client is to supply all copy and imagery necessary. Website will be developed in English (UK) only. There will be the option to add Arabic at a later date but this will be at an extra cost. The CMS will be Wordpress. Web page layouts will only be guaranteed at 100% zoom (actual size) across all browsers. Mass data entry through the CMS will be performed by the client.

Any updates to design or functionality can be made at additional cost. Updates will be estimated based on the scope of the requirements and billed at Suburb s standard rate card (incorporating any pre-agreed discounts). Amends Amends to the website will abide to the following set of parameters: The amount and duration of all amends will be outlined in the timeline. Each phase allows for one round of amends from the client. At the end of each phase the client is allowed 5 working days to compile consolidated amends. Suburb will action all outlined amends that fall within the scope. The work will be presented for final sign off. Any new amends or amends outside of the review period will be charged for at our rate card cost. Any amends to work that has been previously signed off will fall out of this scope and will be charged at our rate card cost. Out of Scope

9 The following items are deemed as out of scope for this project: Extra functionality to third party feed or information Any form of content as photography, copy or video Event tracking No video or image production and editing has been included Printing Photography/image sourcing Any online advertising including third party banners or traffic driving material for owned media will be addressed under a separate project Costs do not include any supporting community management, content management, or social reporting and shall be cost for separately Generation or purchase of any imagery is out of scope. Any rights managed imagery, photography or retouching of supplied imagery required will be addressed via change request. 11 Terms and Conditions By hiring the services of Suburb Design Limited you agree to accept and be legally bound to these Terms and Conditions. Please read these Terms and conditions carefully. You acknowledge that Suburb Design Limited reserves the right to reject or terminate any project which violates these Terms and Conditions or is otherwise objectionable, including, without limitation, projects or content that is illegal, obscene, indecent, incites religious, racial or ethnic hatred, or violates the rights of others. Website Approval The design process will end when the Client gives final approval of a website design and layout. This will normally be done by . Unless agreed otherwise, the client will be allowed one set of alterations (including fonts, sizes, colours, positions of elements and text/copy) on the artwork and design presented. All liabilities for errors, changes, or alterations become the responsibility of the Client, once the artwork and design have been approved. For any additional changes we will charge extra, using our current hourly rate for costing these services. Post-Approval Alterations Post-approval revisions can be made and charged using our current hourly rate. The Client will be sent an invoice via when the work is completed. Payment to Suburb Design Limited should be received within 30 days from the date of the invoice. Minor Changes Once the website has been uploaded there is a period of 30 days in which Suburb Design Limited will correct any spelling mistakes or grammar errors free of charge. After this period, standard charges apply. Duration of each project The duration of the project will be established in the initial proposal and will depend on the individual project at hand. Suburb Design Limited will provide the client with an expected project completion date. We will endeavour to meet any given deadline but we do not guarantee and are not bound in any way to complete the project by this date as this is does not depend solely on the work executed by Suburb Design Limited. Copy, images, video and other website content All the website content will be provided by the client, including text, images, illustrations, videos, etc. in digital format. This content is the responsibility of the client. If the client wishes, he may hire Suburb Design Limited to create this content. But unless specified, this is not included in the website creation costing. Expenses with hosting and registering the domain are the client s responsibility. Unless specified otherwise in this proposal. Cancellation/Refund Either party shall have the right to terminate any contract between us without reason or penalty up to 2 days after the agreed date for commencing the project. In the event of termination up to 2 days after commencing the project, we shall refund all sums paid within 30 days from the date of cancellation. We cannot refund hosting, domain fees, premium template costs or any software purchased on your behalf. In the event of a project being cancelled after this 2 day period, hourly rates will apply to the work executed and Suburb Design Limited will deduct these values from the value paid, including charging the client when the sum paid is inferior to the work executed.

12 Force Majeure Suburb Design Limited shall not be liable in respect of any shortage or failure to supply goods where such shortage of or failure is due to an act of God or any other reason beyond the control of Suburb Design Limited and we, in such circumstances, will not be liable in respect of any consequential loss to the Client. Payment Suburb Design Limited may invoice the Client in respect of its fees and other costs on a monthly basis and the Client will pay each invoice within 30 days. Where third party suppliers require payment in advance or at various stages of production, the Client shall pay the Suburb Design Limited s invoices in respect of such production costs immediately upon presentation. Suburb Design Limited reserves the right to charge interest on all invoices presented to the Client which are not paid by the relevant due date at the annual rate of 2% above the base rate. Such interest will accrue on a daily basis from the date on which payment became overdue up to the date on which Suburb Design Limited receives the full outstanding amount together with all accrued interest. This right is without prejudice to any right of the Supplier to charge interest pursuant to any statute or enactment or to the availability of interest in the court s discretion. Each party shall pay all monies which are payable by it to the other without any right of set off, abatement or withholding in respect of monies which are due to it or alleged to be due to it from the other party. Ownership The Client will own the IP for the project website once full payment has been received. Suburb Design Limited is not liable for any misuse where images, illustrations and other copyrighted material have been purchased by Suburb Design Limited on behalf of the Client. We advise the Client to make a copy of these Terms and Conditions. Please return this document via an stating that you agree with the proposal and its Terms and Conditions.
