WMU- Graduate Student Advisory Committee (GSAC) Doctoral Associate Chairperson (June ) Duties include: various administrative duties, program development for undergraduate and graduate students, advocacy for graduate students at the university, state, and national levels; developing and implementing social, professional development, and outreach programs; allocating monies to smaller graduate student organizations, sitting on university councils and committees (e.g. Higher Learning Commission steering committee, Graduate Studies Council, etc.) and organizing the editorial duties of the Hilltop Review (volume 3 fall 2009), a peer-review journal of graduate student research. Michigan State University/Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies Assessment/Evaluation Counselor (July 2009-Dec. 2009) Duties include psychological testing and assessment. Case consultation and integrative report writing is a large emphasis of this part-time internship experience. Western Michigan University The Graduate College Doctoral Associate - Graduate Student Recruitment & Retention (Sep June 2008) Duties included the planning and implementation of various visitation and recruitment events (e.g. HBCU Visitation), evaluation, outreach to Western Michigan University undergraduate students, and other university students. Western Michigan University The Graduate College Graduate Assistant Graduate Student Recruitment & Retention (Jan June 2008) Duties included the planning and implementation of various visitation and recruitment events, evaluation, outreach to Western Michigan University undergraduate students, and other university students during a 10-hour work week. Lake Michigan College Adjunct Instructor (Jan June 2008) Provided distance learning and traditional in-class instruction to advanced seniors and first year junior college students during an Introduction to Psychology course. Other duties included developing course material, grading papers and exams, and providing advisement to students. Morgan Park Counseling & Psychological Services Counselor (May 2007-Dec. 2007) Provided individual and group therapy. Other duties included facilitating psychoeducational services, outreach, assessment and evaluation.

3 Douglas Community Association Counselor/Program Development (May 2007-Sep. 2007) Provided minimal clinical intake and diagnostic interview assessments. Primary duties included developing psycho-educational services, outreach, programmatic assessment and evaluation within an urban community mental health setting. Gear Up Counseling Services - W.K. Kellogg Middle School Counseling Intern (Sept June 2007) The primary focus was on academic underachievement with a population of underrepresented students. Duties included developing and co-facilitating support and therapeutically based groups, individual counseling, parent consultation, academic advisement, and crisis intervention. Advantage Management Group Program Manager/Post Admissions Liaison (Feb Jan. 2007) Duties managing formally developed programs such as Fine Dining, Fine Bathing, PAL, etc. for three nursing homes. Additional responsibilities included managing the monthly calendar, newsletters, and therapeutic support groups. Exam Experts Tutorial Staff Member (Sep Dec. 2006) Duties included providing middle school students with after school tutoring in subjects such as mathematics, science, English, spelling and reading comprehension. Phoenix High School School Counselor Internship (Sep June 2006) Duties included assisting with the volunteer and service learning placement of high school students. Additional responsibilities included providing workshops, seminars, group discussions, and academic/guidance counseling and conflict resolution. Advantage Management Group Long Term Care Summer Internship Program (May 2004-Aug.2004) Duties included implementing new innovative programs and evaluation measures for programs such as Fine Dining, Fine Bathing, PAL, etc. for three nursing homes.
