MCFALL, LMSW, ACSW, RN 1563 Blue Heron Drive Highland, Michigan (W) EMPLOYMENT 1992-Present Michigan State University, School of Social Work, East Lansing, MI Associate Director for Field Education Maintain academic and administrative responsibility for the ten field education courses within the undergraduate and graduate programs of the School of Social Work. The constituencies of the programs include 350 students in local and distance placements as well as outreach and ongoing relationships with a statewide pool of 1000 agencies and field instructors. Specific responsibilities incorporated into the position include: developing placement sites; placing, orienting, monitoring and evaluating all students registered for field education; orienting and training field instructors; establishing and implementing placement policies and procedures; hiring and supervising local and distance field office and liaison personnel; developing field course curriculum; maintaining required documentation and the field program data base. Teach advanced clinical methods courses annually. Develop field education and clinical practice curriculum. As a member of the School s Administrative Team, participate in decision making and supervisory activities that direct the School. Chair the Field Sequence Committee and maintain membership on the Educational Policy Committee, Practice Sequence Committee, Admissions Committee, Search Committees, Awards Committee and ad hoc committees as requested. Establish ongoing program evaluation and renewal while adding to the body of knowledge related to social work field education.
2 The University of Michigan Counseling Services, Ann Arbor, MI Acting Assistant Director ( ): As a member of the administrative team, shared the acting assistant director responsibilities with three administrative coordinators during the time that the agency was without an official director. Coordinator of Training ( ): Coordinated the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. and Social Work Masters intern training program with liaison responsibility to the academic units at Michigan State University and the University of Michigan. Responsible for the orientation of new staff and the ongoing professional development programming for the agency. Senior Counselor: Provided assessment, crisis management, referral and psychotherapeutic treatment to the university student population. Engaged in individual and group counseling; outreach and psycho-educational programming; graduate social work field instruction; para-professional training; and consultation to the university community Michigan State University Counseling Center, East Lansing MI Senior Counselor: Offered substance abuse assessment and treatment to university students as well as consultation to the Counseling Center staff and programming consultation to the Division of Student Services. Provided direct clinical service (individual, couple and group therapy); acted as liaison to academic units, other student service departments, the statewide legal system and local treatment centers. Initiated the campus Chemical Dependency Advisory Team The Oxford Institute, Oxford, MI Therapist: Developed the therapeutic programming, administered and provided direct service in the intensive adolescent outpatient chemical dependency treatment program Lansing Community College, Lansing, MI Henry Ford Community College, Dearborn, MI Schoolcraft College, Livonia, MI Clinical Nursing Faculty: Taught foundations and advanced psychiatric nursing rotations Northville Regional Psychiatric Hospital, Northville MI Section Chief Nurse: Responsible for the mileu care in a fifty bed young adult inpatient psychiatric service.
