1 July 23, 2015 Hello Change Management Practitioner - We need your help! The Association of Change Management Professionals Association (ACMP) is developing a new credential for Change Management practitioners: the Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP). We would like to invite you to participate in ACMP's first-ever CCMP exam question development process. We plan to have approximately 10 individuals, representing various facets of the change management industry, participating in an exam question development workshop in the four major global regions. We are inviting you to join us for the Asia/Pacific regional meeting in Singapore and plan on conducting the workshop September, Approximate time commitment: 1) Participate in an orientation webinar - 2 hours 2) Participate in a face-to-face meeting - 16 hours + travel Plan on travelling Friday, working Saturday and Sunday and travelling home after 3:00pm Travel: ACMP would greatly appreciate it if your organization would pay for your transportation costs (ground and air) and ACMP will pay for your hotel and meals. ACMP will host a group dinner on Saturday night at: RESTAURANT TO BE DETERMINED. Note: ACMP will provide an expense reimbursement form at the meeting. The foundation for these meetings will be an initial draft of the CCMP Test Specifications document (Attachment A) which identifies the major content areas (Domains) and tasks of Change Management practitioners. We will also use ACMP's Standard for Change Management and Change Management textbooks from which you can write questions related to the content areas defined in the Exam Specifications. Steps in the Item Writing Meeting: 1. Prior to the face-to-face meeting, we will hold an orientation phone conference call (Webex). 2. The orientation will give you an introduction to the job of an item writer and seek your availability to join ACMP for an in person meeting in your region. 3. Here is what you can expect to be doing at the in-person meeting:

2 a. Be trained on how to write good multiple-choice questions b. Practice writing questions and receive group feedback c. Write questions and provide a reference for each question d. Review questions others have written At the conclusion of the meeting the questions you will have written will be added to a databank of questions from which the CCMP examination will be drawn. Due to the iterative process of exam question development, it is very common that subsequent reviews of your questions may result in slight modifications to questions you draft. The questions will undergo numerous content, editorial and psychometric reviews before they are chosen to be on the exam. The item writing workshop will be an excellent time to: Expand your network of change management practitioners by being connected with likeminded change management practitioners in your regions. Be able to contribute to a critical component of earning the CCMP credential --- the EXAM. Be involved in foundational activities that will be valued by change management practitioners for years to come. Stay up to date on the latest publications on change management ACTIONS: The following actions means that your organization or you have agreed to pay for travel (with the understanding that your hotel and meals will be paid for by ACMP). 1) Please send your resume or curriculum vitae to: kbresson@kellencompany.com Be sure to include the name of this meeting in the Subject line: Asia/Pacific Item Writing Workshop. 2) Please let us know no later than 12 August, 2015 if you are interested in participating. After reviewing all resumes and curriculum vitas, we will notify you if you are selected to participate in this activity. As ACMP is a global organization, it's important for us to ensure we have a representative sample of participants from 4 global areas, organizations, years practiced and other demographic information. For those selected to participate in the workshop, we will be hosting an orientation phone conference (WebEx) in the next couple of weeks and will provide travel information to finalize the details of the Item Writing Session Workshop. For those not select, there may be other opportunities for you to participate in the many wonderful volunteer activities that ACMP offers.
