Identify e-business models and their application to Website development. 2. Describe the Web site planning process to develop useful and attractive Web pages. 3. Design a Website that markets, sells, and collects buyer information into a digital database. 4. Use encryption to secure electronic payment submissions. 5. List advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing Web design.

5 Course Competencies and Objectives By the end of the semester, students will be able to: Competency 1 Define basic terminology and concepts involved in e-business development Objective 1.1 Define the Internet and the World Wide Web and these terms relate to e-business Objective 1.2 List e-business advantages and disadvantages Objective 1.3 Identify e-business models Competency 2 Create an e-business and Web site development plan Objective 2.1 Research the legal forms of businesses and list the advantages and disadvantages of each type of business: sole proprietorship, partnerships, and corporations. Objective 2.2 Prepare a marketplace analysis, operational, financial, and management plans and Website development plan using spreadsheet or project development software. Objective 2.3 Write a mission statement and save in a PDF, text, and document format.
