Peter Falk has a tri-national identity: Swedish USA German. Born in Trollhättan, Sweden, he spent his childhood and early school years in Sweden and in Germany and his formative years in the US. He attended High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and holds a B.A. from Concordia College in Minnesota, an M.A. from the University of Washington in Seattle and the Zweite Staatsexamen from the Studienseminar Bremen. In addition, he has done seminar course work at the University of Washington, in Heidelberg and at the University of Bremen. He has extensive teaching experience at the secondary, undergraduate and graduate level in both, the US and in Germany. International teaching assignments include courses in European Management and Comparative American-European Studies as a visiting professor at East Tennessee State University and the University of Missouri-Kansas City, as well as a Socrates exchange lecturer at the University of Westminster in London. In his teaching he likes to employ an interdisciplinary approach, focussing on the study of the cultural determinants of business practices and management models in Europe and in the US. Research interests and contributions are directed toward the broad category of international business education, involving specifically course and curriculum design in international dual-degree programs in business at the undergraduate and the MBA level. Major project activities include the function as the EU Co-Director of the Transatlantic Business School Alliance, a consortium of universities in Europe and the US to promote international business education, and participation as a consultant on an EU Twinning Project team in Riga, Latvia in This EU project involved seminars and workshops in the Latvian Ministry of Transportation and Communication on HRM practices and the European-wide convergence of the HR functions as part of the European integration process. Applying for funds A practical regional example of Michael Glotz-Richter, Bremen City-State Senate for Building and Environment Michael Glotz Richter works as senior project manager for sustainable mobility in the Bremen City Ministry for Environment, Construction, Transport and European Affairs/ City of Bremen (Freie Hansestadt Bremen / Senator für Umwelt, Bau, Verkehr und Europa). Michael Glotz-Richter holds a Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning of the Technical University in Berlin, with a special focus on transport and environmental issues (1984). Strategic Management Prof. Jack O`Herlihy, Letterkenny Institute of Technology, Ireland Jack O'Herlihy was Head of Development for over ten years at Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LyIT). As the senior manage with responsibility for linking the institute with the region it served, Jack managed the range of support services provided to industry. This included training and consultancy services, applied research and internaqtional cooperation. Jack has extensive experience of working with organisations in both the private and public sectors especially in the context of organisational change and their adaptation to exploit the full potential of new technologies. During the past five years Jack has been the Director of a customised Masters Programmne for senior civil servants in both the Dublin and Belfast Administragtions. This programme was developed in association with the Department of an Taoiseach (Prime Minister) in the Republic of Ireland and the Office of the First and Deputy First Minister in Northern Ireland. Jack who has long experience of Action Lerarninghas special fresponsibility for this element of the programme. In addition to his work at LyIT Jack is also a Visiting Fellow in Manchester Business School.
