After having studied Sociology in Bremen and Hannover he worked for 15 years in different ministries in Germany before entering the Commission services in Since years, he is part-time lecturer for EU affairs and regional policy and has published several books and articles, in particular on EU cohesion policy. Prof. Lehmann was awarded a DAAD grant to teach at the University of Jaipur in India and has taught Business law in Riga, Groningen, Letterkenny, China, Sweden and more. Michael Glotz-Richter holds a Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning of the Technical University in Berlin, with a special focus on transport and environmental issues (1984). After working in the field of urban planning and transport calming in Berlin and Cologne, he moved to Bremen in Since 1994 he is responsible for the involvement of Bremen in several projects on sustainable transport and environmentally friendly mobility. Car-Sharing is one of the elements to reduce the dependence on the private car but as well good Public Transport, clean vehicles and seeing the bicycle as ultimate low-emission vehicle. In his teaching he likes to employ an interdisciplinary approach, focussing on the study of the cultural determinants of business practices and management models in Europe and in the US. Research interests and contributions are directed toward the broad category of international business education, involving specifically course and curriculum design in international dual-degree programs in business at the undergraduate and the MBA level. Major project activities include the function as the EU Co-Director of the

8 Transatlantic Business School Alliance, a consortium of universities in Europe and the US to promote international business education, and participation as a consultant on an EU Twinning Project team in Riga, Latvia in This EU project involved seminars and workshops in the Latvian Ministry of Transportation and Communication on HRM practices and the -wide convergence of the HR functions as part of the integration process.
