Slightly cambered in width and length, a gritty sandy surface and muted color tones give an elegance to any roof. 10 Mediterranean The lands surrounding the northern shores of the Mediterranean have a rich history of clay tiles roofs. The Greeks and Romans used clay tiles on their homes and buildings. Today there are many regional variations based on the original two piece Tegula (under or pan) and Imbrex (over or cover) tile theme. 12 Cotswold Conservation Anyone who has had the pleasure of traveling through the rolling English Cotswold countryside will remember the distinctive color and texture of the local hand split limestone roofs. Although Northern can supply the natural stone it is very expensive, so a more affordable alternative is our Cotswold Conservation, which perfectly replicates the graduated sizes, surface texture and coloration of the original mellow roofs.
