2 Iraq Campaign Participation Credit 1. The units listed in the following tables meet the criteria for Iraq campaign participation credit for the phase(s) indicated and should display the applicable Iraq Campaign Streamer(s) on their flags (establishments) and guidons (units). 2. 9th Air and Space Expeditionary Task Force Units a. Assault landing credit - In accordance with HQDA General Order 1, 25 Sep 26, the following units are eligible for assault landing credit and are authorized to display the arrowhead device on the LIBERATION OF IRAQ campaign streamer: 86th Expeditionary Contingency Response Group (confer on 86 CRG) - 86th Expeditionary Air Mobility Squadron (confer on 86 AMS) - 786th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron (confer on 786 SFS) 352d Special Operations Group (AFSOC) - 7 Special Operations Squadron (AFSOC) - 2 Special Operations Squadron (AFSOC) 67 Special Operations Squadron (AFSOC) 22 Special Tactics Squadron (AFSOC) 24 Special Tactics Squadron (AFSOC) Note - HQDA GO-I awarded assault credit to 86 CRG and 352 SOG, which includes participating subordinates indicated by dash (-). b. Major force provider units (formerly known as supported expeditionary units) earn campaign credit and likewise confer those honors on an associated permanent unit. Each supported expeditionary unit listed is distinct and has no lineal tie to any other unit, even units with identical designations. However, permanent units receiving conferred honors are authorized to display no more than a single streamer fo r each campaign phase, regardless of how many like-designated supported expeditionary units have earned campaign participation credit. USAFCENT G-33995, 14 July 214 c. Rainbow expeditionary units (listed below without conferrals) earn campaign credit and subsequently retain those honors if converted back to permanent status. 3. Unit lineages, in many cases, remain classified. Direct specific questions concerning unit eligibility, conferrals, lineage, etc., to USAFCENT/HO at DSN (312) , commercial (83) , or send to AFCENT.HOShaw@afcent.af.mil (NIPR) or AFCENT.HOShaw@afcent.af.smil.mil (SIPR). 4. Units must procure streamers through USAF supply channelslocal purchase is not authorized. The national stock number for the Iraq Campaign Streamer is Complete DD Form and to DLA Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (jeanne.bildner@dla.mil or carol.newman@dla.mil). Ensure DD Form block 8 contains the approved campaign phase embroidery and streamer size. a. Approved embroidery fo r each campaign phase is as follows: LIBERATION OF IRAQ 23 TRANSITION OF IRAQ IRAQI GOVERNANCE NATIONAL RESOLUTION IRAQI SURGE IRAQI SOVEREIGNTY NEW DAWN b. Streamer sizes are 1-3/8-inches by 2-feet for squadron guidons and 2-inches by 3-feet for headquarters (H establishment (wing, group) organizational flags. 5. Air Force Special Operations Command units - AFSOC units appear in a table after USAFCENT units. 1
