The Master of Science degrees are 2-year, full time programs aimed at candidates who obtained an undergraduate degree of minimum 3 years strive to tackle the emerging global challenges, with a unique multidisciplinary approach, working with research teams from different fields. The degree qualifies students to continue with a PhD program and is open to graduates of bachelor programs in many subject areas. EUR 8,000/year (including housing, public transportation, insurance and estimated living expenses) Fall enrollment (mid-september), spring enrollment (beginning of March) Proof of an undergraduate degree of a minimum of three years (incl. transcripts) Proof of proficiency in English on a C1 level (i.e. IELTS 6.5, no sub-score lower than 6.0, TOEFL 570 Paper-Based, 230 Computer-Based or 88 Internet-Based) CV and motivation letter To gain acceptance, applicants must pass a formal admission interview (in person, via phone or Skype)

The multidisciplinary approach allowed us to learn about the different dimensions of sustainable development and better understand the complexity behind this topic. The combination of lecturers with very different backgrounds, experiences and nationalities, and classmates from different parts of the world created a unique study environment. Our courses were structured in small groups allowing for better interaction with lecturers and with other students. The location of the university makes the studying experience very pleasant. The road to the university is through Kahlenberg forest which is very nice and relaxing compared to the commotion in the city. I find it great that the university hosts different conferences, think tanks, lectures, projects and academic research on sustainable issues. We are encouraged to take part in them; this way we can get acquainted with current issues regarding sustainable development.
