7 Intensive English language preparatory course Duration: 5 months (12 ECTS credits) Starts: Autumn semester, Spring semester Content: This intensive course in academic English will help you prepare, and support you throughout, your university studies in English. The core components of the course focus on the skills required to function independently and effectively in a university environment and explore in depth the academic language needed to practice the study skills. Group of 5-7 students. The core components of the course are Drawing, Architectural composition, and Introduction to art and architecture history: from general art trends to the stages of drawing, proportion, perspective. 9 Najeeb Hassan from India plans his career at the United Nations Lithuania was the first foreign country that I have visited so it will always remain my first love. I was fascinated by the roads, infrastructure and the order. Also, the professors and International Office staff were very helpful: I got a lot of advice on educational and personal issues. I have become more tolerant and now I understand people who are living in this part of the world more. During my Erasmus semester in Budapest, Hungary I applied and got 11 months internship in the UN office in Budapest. At the same time I graduated my Master s in Human Resource Management at KTU. I would like to pursue a PhD degree in the Netherlands or in another European country. I will also try to achieve a permanent position at the UN. Don t miss! 11 Visas Those who need visas to enter Lithuania must apply for national visa at the nearest Lithuanian embassy ~3-4 weeks prior to the arrival. KTU Department of International Relations provides information and intermediation documents for visa and temporary residence permit (after arrival) procedures. migracija.lt Academic calendar The academic year consists of an autumn and a spring semester. The autumn semester always starts on the 1 st of September, and the beginning of the spring semester may vary a little (usually it starts in the beginning of February). Students are expected to arrive week/few days earlier for a Welcome week. ktu.edu/en/studies Living costs The cost of living is very much depending on individual habits and lifestyle. Students have to pay for their books and other academically related materials (if not provided by the library or teacher), also for accommodation.
