Strengthening of the placement cell and widening its activity to all undergraduate department of the college. 4. Strengthening of the existing sports and gymnasium facilities / activities of the student.

Encouraging the teachers to acquire latest knowledge in their subjects either by indulging in research activities or by attending seminars, workshops, training programmers etc. Besides this, the college will also organize seminars / work shops / Symposia / lecture series. These activities should educate the teachers and widen their vision. 7. Encouraging the qualified teachers to taking up more minor and major research projects in their chosen fields of expertise. 8. More financial help should be provided to the handicapped and economically weak student 9. Social awareness regarding the following should be provided to the society through students i. 10 Part - B 1. Activities reflecting the goals and Objectives of Institution:- The main goals and objectives of the institution have been: i. To uplift downtrodden, backward, tribal, and weaker section of Rajur block through higher education. ii.to empower the illiterate, ignorant, uneducated masses by educating them and by creating in them the social, political and cultural awareness. iii. To give them confidence that they are the creators and not the creatures of their fate. iv. To make them think that knowledge alone can help them in creating their future. Objectives The main Objectives of the institution have been: - To create among students the spirit of friendship. Co-operation and freedom, to make the students feel at home even when facing the critical conditions, to love justice and merit. Reflecting these goals and objectives, we have implemented the following activities during the academic year, I. To achieve academic excellence in the college, ii) Teachers were encouraged to apply for major and minor research projects in their subjects of expertise. iii) Financial assistance was provided to the teachers to attend national seminars, conferences and workshops, and also to publish their research findings. iv) The college has organized the seminars and workshops during this academic year ( ) on different subjects. v) Department of English provided an opportunity to the students to carry out project work in the Functional English subject. vi) Departmental Lecture series are organized under Quality Improvement program. vii) Career Oriented Programs, are organized under U.G.C. Scheme.

11 II. To promote education for rural women. i) As per our policy, no girl student was denied admission to any course. Girl students are admitted to all courses. ii) Fee concessions, for economically weak girl students, are provided. Total amount of college fee and hostel fee concession provided this year to such students is Rs. 23,000. iii) Well-equipped Ladies hall facilities are provided to Girl Student. iv) Free Medical Check-up & Guidance facilities are provided to Girl students by Ladies-Welfare department. III. To provide educational avenues to needy and economically weaker classes and also Tribal Students. i) We have strengthened our library facility by adding 266 text and 401 reference books, 11 periodicals and 04 Journals during the academic year ( ), worth Rs. 1,18,965/-. ii) We have also provided to Book bank facilities to all U.G. Students. iii) Competitive Examination Guidance was made available to the students. IV) Competitive Examination Guidance was made available to SC, ST and Minority Students. IV. To inculcate value-based education among the youth The college has introduced certain need based and career oriented courses especially for the youth. It includes, i) Environment awareness course is made compulsory to all second year undergraduate students. ii) Remedial courses are made available to SC/ST and minority students. V. To achieve socio-economic and cultural transformation through education, i) Our college students have arranged various cultural programs during Ganesh festival. ii) The college organized Blood donation camps. Students from NSS of our college donated blood.

12 iii) Through N.S.S. winter camps, AIDS awareness and other health related programs were organized. iv) N.S.S. Department organised the function on 19th August 06 as a Sadbhavana Day. v) Tree plantation at College Road Fort by N.S.S. Department on 28 th August vi) Environmental department of our college created awareness of environmental science and energy for 2nd year students. Students were made to prepare project on Environmental Science. vii) Eye-Camp organized by N.S.S. Department. II. 13 iii. Our college teachers take active participation in different international, National, State and University level seminars and workshops. 4. Inter-disciplinary programs started: The college started the following interdisciplinary courses during the academic year Career Oriented Certificate courses :- Following courses are continuing in college according to UGC guidelines and University of Pune. 1. Functional English 2. Environmental awareness course, which was made compulsory to all second year undergraduate students, is also interdisciplinary in nature. 3. A course in spoken English was started for the first year Arts and Commerce Students which was free of charge. 4. Computer Literacy Syllabus for FYBA,FYBCom,FYBSc. 5. M.P.S.C. Examination Preparation Class. 6. Foundation Course for FYBA, FYBCom. And FYBSc. 5. Examination reforms implemented. Examinations are conducted as per the norms, rules and regulations of Pune University. As per university rules, sizable weight age is allocated for internal assessment, which is carried out by the teachers concerned. It was observed that all tests and examinations are conducted by sincerely and strictly according to rules. This year we have assessed the students for the internal assessment. The process of internal assessment was as follows. 1. Different sets of objective / multiple choice questions were given to the science students and were asked to solve within 40 minutes. The response of students is found to be encouraging. 2. In some departments of different faculties students were given model question papers.

14 3. Students were continuously assessed internally by conducting tests (at least two in each semester) at regular intervals of time. 4. Term end examination and assessment. 6. During this academic year , we have subscribed 11 periodicals and 04 journal at a cost of Rs. 3,990/ Courses in which student assessment of Teachers is introduced and the action taken on student feedback:- The college has established a separate Suggestion box. Discipline committee look into the problems of the students. During the academic year , the members of the discipline committee invited complaints from the student about their difficulties and inconveniences in a prescribed format. There were no complaints received from the students regarding teaching activities. However, minor complaints were received regarding practical activities. Some students demanded more books for competitive examinations. We have conceded to their demand and purchased the books immediately. 24. Unit cost of education:- Senior College Rs. 14, Computerization of administration and the process of admission and examination results, issue of certificates:- From the academic year , the administration and accounts sections are computerized. The process of admission is partly computerized. 26. Increase in the infrastructure facilities:- 1. The computer and internet facility is made available to the entire staff member. 2. Our college student Khokale Haribhau, Shelake Ranjana and Kokate Meena were selected in Ahmednager district inters colleges Cross country competitions. 5. Our college student awarded general championship to Sangade Bhorabaie and Talpade Tukaram. 6. Dhage Dattu and Suryawanshi Dattu were participated in YCMOU sport competition at Nashik 1. Activities of Guidance and Counseling unit:- The college has a separate Counseling Center. It provides guidance and counseling to the students of the college. In charge of this counseling unit, Prof. Dr. B. Y. Deshmukh & Prof. L.B. Kakade regularly provides counseling to the students on various issues related to career matters on every second and fourth Saturday from 3-5 pm.

Most of the parents express their expectations from our institute. That helps the college is maintain discipline. 2. A separate Canteen facilities were provided to the students in the college campus. 3. Extra co-curricular activities like debate competition, poetry creation, essay writing competition, seminars etc. were arranged for the students during the academic year The college organize annual gathering program in the month of Jan.06 where in large number of students participated in various cultural activities. 5. This year the college has provided earn & learn scheme facility to economically weak students to enable them to continue with their education. 6. Students celebrated Teachers day on 5 th September 2006 with full enthusiasm and paid due respects to the teachers. 7. Educational tours and visits were organized for the UG students of our college. 8. Doctors regularly visit for medical checkup of our girls and boys of first year to provide health services as per University Norms. 9. Safe drinking water provided to all students in the college campus. 10. Students (both boys and girls) are provided suggestion box facility.
