Ensure compliance with regulations and laws pertaining to divisional operations. Recreation Administration Responsible for directing a comprehensive University Recreation Department, which includes aerobics, aquatics, facility management, fitness, instructional, intramurals, open recreation, outdoor recreation, special events, sport clubs, wellness, and youth programs. Provide leadership and vision for all essential components of the department including the mission and vision statements, assessment plans, learning outcomes, strategic planning goals, budget development and management, risk management, and departmental policies and procedures. Train and supervise program heads to provide quality support and customer service. Develop and administer a $1.4 million operating budget and capital improvement program. Promote and market programs and services to university community. Direct contract negotiations that include addressing critical issues associated with membership agreements, rental contracts, and fee proposals. Direct implementation efforts for short and long-term facility renovations, improvements, and modernization programs for optimum utilization of facilities. Collaborate with other departments to create a community that fosters life-long wellness.
