Materna became a Cloud Solution Provider based on IBM Services, Infrastructure and Tivoli Software. 12 Why Training in a Cloud? Training requires dedicated environments for a short period of time, like a day, an evening or even a week. Example: a classroom with like twenty places - in the morning you have to deliver a WebSphere Cluster administration class - and in the evening a DB2 end user class - and every week the content changes Set up at least two servers for every student. install the Operating System, WebSphere Application Server, Web server and exercises on local hardware Training facilities (e.g. Hotel) do not have centralized server environments manually set up of every workstation for each participant individually - for every single training. 12
