Experience: Lyons Roofing has been servicing the greater Phoenix area since The current owners, Paul and Rhonda LaNue took over ownership of the company in Paul s 25+ years of experience in the roofing industry and Rhonda s 30+ years experience working with notable Fortune 500 companies provided a strong foundation for this business endeavor. Despite recent economic conditions, Lyons Roofing has prospered and established themselves as a leader in the roofing community. Producing over $10 Million dollars in roofing projects annually, they have also been the recipients of multiple in industry and out of industry accolades. Lyons Roofing if proud to be affiliated with Arizona s #1 contractor referral network, Rosie on the house, and the nation s largest referral network, Angie s list. Industry Leadership: Rhonda LaNue and Ann Pepper (Director of Business Development) are both active members of the Arizona Roofing Contractors Association (ARCA). Rhonda serves on ARCA s Industrial Advisory Committee (IAC) charged with rewriting the current ROC workmanship standards for roofing and to develop efficiencies in communication amongst the constituency of the ROC, that being both contractors and those contracting services while Ann is co-chair of the marketing committee. We are especially proud of Rhonda s role with ARCA as she was named Chairperson of the year in In 2012 members of ARCA voted to name Lyons Roofing the Contractor of the Year. Safety: According to OSHA, roofing is the 5 th most dangerous job based on reported accidents and injuries. Here at Lyons our commitment to safety is steeped in a genuine concern for our employees. We have a full time safety officer that is charged in developing and teaching processes to minimize risk. In 2012 we were honored by SCF Arizona, Arizona s largest workman s compensation insurance provider, as a Best of the Best Safe company. We have a long standing relationship with the foam, coating, tile and shingle manufacturers and you will find their expertise and experience to be an integral part of our team. Technique: Experience in the administration of your roofing system goes a long way to assure proper placement and long term efficacy of your roofing system. Lyons Roofing has experience installing and maintaining roofs in the greater Phoenix area since Our General Superintendant and On-site Technical Advisor have a combined 25 years overseeing Foam, TPO, Modified, Tile, Shingle, BUR and coating applications. This experience goes a long way to recognize and adjust to the nuances of your particular project. Our installers are an established crew of full time employees who have a work flow that only comes with familiarity with each other and the project they are administering. We do not hire laborers whose learning curve often is at the expense of quality end results. If we do choose to employ trade partners, the contractors are well vetted, have documented evidence of insurance and licensure requirements and have a long history with Lyons and a contractual obligation to adhere to the Lyons standards of workmanship and quality. Bottom line this is a Lyons Roof and warranty- and we do not take that lightly. Warranty: Lyons Roofing is an established business entity that will be around for years to back up stated warranties. Leveraging our long standing relationship with our trade partners, we are able to offer extensive warranties that often exceed a standard workmanship warranty as required by ROC standards. Contingent on the warrantable condition of your roof we may be able to offer the Lyons Roofing RRAMP program, a professional roof care program, consisting of scheduled roof inspections, cleaning, maintenance, preventative repairs and a comprehensive report of your roof condition. Over the RRAMP period we assume the responsibility and expense of maintaining your roof in watertight and functional condition through annual inspections and repairs, your investment is protected and the roofs life is increased. Recognition: Lyons Roofing has been the proud recipient of several awards and recognitions. Although some of these accolades can be interpreted as popularity contests (don t hate us because we are beautiful), our point of pride is being the 2009 recipient of the Better Business Bureau s Ethics award and the 2012 Contractor of the Year. 4 Page4 The team All good leaders will acknowledge that they are only as good as those that surround them. The LaNue s fondly refer to their management committee as the dream team. The LaNue s were committed to hire the best of the best from the roofing industry. Julie Moore, Commercial Project Manager has been a project manager for over 20 years starting with Universal Roofers and most recently as a Senior Project Manager at Centimark Roofing managing projects in excess of $60 Million. Julie has been with Lyons Roofing for 3 years and has been instrumental in developing the commercial division for Lyons Roofing recognizing an average of 50% increase in business year over year. Her list of satisfied customers include: Glendale School District, Thermo King, Utility Trailer, Avnet, Casa Domani HOA, Chateau de Vie HOA, Maya Condominium HOA, Kachina Management HOA. Julie is currently managing over $2 million in her current production calendar for Lyons Roofing. Paul LaNue, Owner, President is a hands on manger involved in both the residential and commercial sales markets. Projects that Paul has managed include: Tutor Time Corporate holdings, U-Haul Corporate holdings, Best Western Corporate holdings, Arizona Federal Credit Union Phoenix branches and directly related to Paul s relationship Lyons Roofing is the preferred roofing contractor for high profile custom home builders such as Legacy, BC Renovations, Ownby builders and JR McDade. Paul manages his projects with a simple approach- communicate honestly and often. His relationships with customers extend well beyond the roofing process and the company motto of creating customers for life is personified in Paul s approach to the needs of his customers. Tom Sichrovsky, General Production Manager has been managing high profile tile roofing projects since Tom s hands on experience began with JB roofing for 8 years working his way into a superintendent role. Tom s career since then has included 15 years with Diversified and Specialty roofing companies, specializing in semi-custom residential communities including DC Ranch and SilveLeaf working with Engle Homes and the custom division of Toll Brothers builders. He was involved in the custom roofing projects on several homes in Desert Highlands and Desert Mountain. Tom s background includes sales and marketing to the custom home market- making him particularly in tune with the needs of the discerning homeowner. Although Tom has only been with Lyons Roofing for one year- he comes with a working relationship for several years with Robert Dishmon, our Director of Operations. This built in understanding of each other s work style has allowed Tom s transition into Lyons Roofing to be an easy one. Notable Projects include: Desert Horizon Apartments, Scottsdale Greg Special, General Production Manager has over 35 years of commercial and residential roofing experience, specializing in sprayed polyurethane foam but includes shingle and tile re-roofing and coordination of roofing in occupied environments. He is the perfect Project Manager and Superintendent for the retrofit market. He has overseen or been involved in over 60 million SF of commercial and industrial roofing and 1000 s of residential homes. 5 Page5 Your Project The complexities of all roofing projects require careful and organized forethought in order to orchestrate a production plan to meet stated objectives. Our plan will include: carefully articulated production schedules with an emphasis on minimal disruption to tenants, effective communication, well thought out safety plans, contingency plans to minimize potential problems. Our goal is to provide a quality roofing system that performs as promised in protecting the property backed up with a warranty and maintenance program that will protect your investment. The Assessment: As a standard of practice our roof assessments include a roof by roof analysis of the entire property. Evaluation of the roof system includes roof coring to evaluate surface condition and substrate condition and history, analysis of drainage conditions, analysis of penetrations, wall tie ins, mechanical installation of HVAC, Satellite Dishes and the like. Measurements will be hand measured whenever possible and supplemented by Eagleview technology to assure accurate measurement and accurate pricing if needed. Solutions: As a rule, when solution options exist, we will identify those options and present them in a format that identifies the features of each option allowing for a lucid decision making process. Solutions are well thought out to include a good, better, best options with pros and cons of each clearly identified. The Lyons team has a long history of working on projects of various size and complexity, and although each project is unique, experience lends efficiency in deriving solutions that are well vetted through hands on knowledge. We also appreciate that roofing solutions are not stand alone problem solvers. Often we have found it best to work hand in hand with all interested parties to marry those solutions tightly to budget and timing constraints inherent to most construction projects. Budget: Lyons Roofing has a standard of practice to put our fair price on the table early, put our terms and conditions in a readable font and make no apologies for not being the low price leader. What we can promise you instead is that we will provide you a proposal that is fairly priced to be a best value over time. Money saved today in short cuts or inferior workmanship generally translates to greater expenditures over time. We seek to anticipate expenditures up front and minimize change orders throughout the production process. That being said some projects may present latent problems, not immediately evidenced from the roof surface. Although our intentions are to provide an accurate assessment, and therefore accurate pricing, unforeseen circumstances do arise. We will take every effort to seek out the signs of these hidden problems that may be lurking beneath the surface and will earnestly disclose these potential problems early so appropriate timing in revealing those problems can be planned to occur when the resources to handle the problems are available. Production Schedules: The key to managing production schedules is communication. It is critical that we, our team, and your team, work together to establish timeline objectives that make sense for the roofer, for the other trades that may be involved in the project (HVAC, electricians, etc), for the community and for the budget. That being said, the planning of a production schedule is always contingent on weather conditions. Clear, consistent communication regarding these potential time constraints is effective in managing frustrations surrounding delays. Documentation: We will provide complete documentation including timelines, project plans, roofing assessment, scope of work and pricing.
