Join hundreds of volunteers across the City of Yucaipa to improve the lives of others. Projects include: Cleaning parks and trails Planting new trees and plants Painting and much more Sign-up your organization or volunteer yourself by filling out a volunteer form and submitting it to the Yucaipa Community Center. Forms can be found at the Center or on pages 3 and 4 (below). A complimentary lunch will be served at the Community Park to volunteers after the conclusion of the event. 3 The City Projects for MADD include: 1. Historic Fire Station Garage (Avenue "A) This project will include re-painting the Historic Fire Station garage. 2. Yucaipa High School Frontage This project will include weed removal, refreshing the planters with mulch, and planting trees and shrubs in the Yucaipa Blvd. frontage of Yucaipa High School (by the track). City staff, with the help of 25 + high school and community volunteers, will remove weeds, bury drip line irrigation, refresh the mulch in the existing planters, and plant approximately 20 various trees and 30 various shrubs. City staff will provide the mulch, shovels, push brooms and wheelbarrows. 3. Installation of 60,000 Square Feet of Sod at the 13 th Street Sports Complex This project will include the installation of 60,000 square feet of hybrid bermuda sod at the 13th Street Sports Complex fields. City staff, with the help of over 150 community volunteers, will lay sod on the northeastern and southwestern fields. The volunteers will assist in laying the sod, trimming, and rolling the sod out. City staff will provide all preparation of the soil prior to the installation and will order the sod required for the two fields. 4. El Dorado Ranch Park K-Rail Re-Painting Project This project will include re-painting the k-rails at El Dorado Ranch Park. City staff will provide paint and access to the site from Carter Street. Volunteers needed. 5. Wildwood Dog Park Gazebo This project will include installation of an 870 square foot gazebo in the new Wildwood Dog Park. City staff will work with approximately 15 Adult Community Volunteers and purchase necessary materials prior to the event.
