2 Preface The document contains the Software Project Management Plan of ONLINE BUS TICKET RESERVATION SYSTEM (OBTRS), which can be used for the all of the internet users. The Ticket Reservation System is an Internet based application that can be accesses throughout the Net and can be accessed by any one who has a net connection. This application will automate the reservation of tickets and Enquiries about availability of the tickets. This application includes information for the tickets. The Goal of the Software Project Management Plan is to describe overall picture of the ONLINE BUS TICKET RESERVATION SYSTEM. This system is prepared according to IEEE standard []. The Software Project Management Plan is in content compliance with the IEEE standard in which the contents of this standard are rearranged and a mapping is provided. That is, the content compliant Software Project Management Plan is mapped into various clauses and sub clauses of the IEEE standard This document will include the project organization such as external and internal interfaces in the organization, the roles and responsibilities, managerial process plans, technical process plans, and supporting process plans.

3 OVERVIEW. Project Summary.. Purpose, Scope and Objectives ONLINE BUS TICKET RESERVATION SYSTEM (OBTRS) is a website for Red Bus Company which enables the company easily manipulate the ticket reservations. The purpose of the Software Project Management Plan is to identify what the OBTRS is supposed to do, to provide administrator to change website properties, to provide agenda for users over calendar. in correct, complete, modifiable, stable system. The scope of the OBTRS is:. A person should be able to Login to the system through the first page of the application Change the password after logging into the system Should be able to create a new login for the accessing the reservation facility. Query the buses for two weeks (Only two weeks advance reservation is available). No reservation before two days can be done. See his/her current reservations on different buses along with the details. Able to choose the seats which can are available for a certain class. Give details about the details about the credit card details.

4 2. A mail should be send to the concerned person about the confirmation of the ticket to the specified address. 3. The login Id and password should be sent to the mentioned address if a new account is created. 4. A calendar should be there which helps the person to select dates. It should also show the public and nation holidays. 5. The system should automatically show the fare for the corresponding seat and amount of money needs to be pay for selected seats...2 Assumptions and constraints Assumptions of the project are: The project staff is consisting of 4(four) persons and each person will work 4(four) hours a day. The project will be worked on the company servers. The intended users of the web site are potential customers and administrator. The correspondence of the documentation produced according to the IEEE Standards [,2,3] and subcontracted by Dr. Deepthi Mishra. OBTRS web site includes audio, video, graphic, text and animations. The administrator of the OBTRS web site will be supplying the maintenance of the system. Information about IT and IS will be given for the users of the web site by using the relevant links. The constraints of the project are: The OBTRS web site should contain a search engine for searching inner and outer of the web site. The inner search engine should be only related for our web site and the outer search engine should be related for searching of the Internet.

5 There should be scrolling marquee for the announcements and recent events. There should be an event calendar. There should be FAQ in web site. The content of the web site should include General information like company info, mission of the company etc. For Administrator: The administrator of the web site should used an admin tool for customize the web site. The admin tool shall handle followings: o Shall change the logo o Shall add or remove links onto the main bar o Shall give options for search tools o Shall add, remove or update links on the menu o Shall add, remove or update events on the event calendar o Shall add or remove medias in the content menu For User: Users shall create an agenda with calendar...3 Project deliverables Initial Plan: The document will be prepared and delivered to the acquirer until 22 November Reviewed Initial Plan: will be updated by the team according to the returned Initial Plan until 29 November 2007 and will be presented to the acquirer. SRS: This is the Software Requirements Specification document, which will be prepared and presented to the acquirer until 6 December Reviewed SRS: will be updated by Team according to the SRS Review Report until 3 December 2007, and will be presented to the acquirer.

6 SDD: This is the Software Design Document, which is the representation of the software system for communicating software design information.
