Valitun kielen mukaisia hakutermejä ehdotetaan automaattisesti, kun syöttökenttään on kirjoitettu vähintään kolme kirjainta. Hakutermilistasta voi valita hakuun yksittäisen hakutermin hiirellä klikkaaamalla. Monitermisen valinnan voi valita joko enteriä painamalla tai suurennuslasia klikkaamalla. Opastuksen voi ohittaa valitsemalla muun kuin syöttötermissä käyttämänsä kielen.

Description of the Search Session Options There are two Query Language options: Finnish or English You can select which dictionary language you like to use as a primary query language. As a query result you will get all the corresponding second language keywords and vica verse. For instance if you select English dictionary and type the words heat pump you will get all the standard keywords which consists of any combinations of heat pump words or phrases in the databases. As a result of your primary query language you will get the matches of your search in the combined keywords list in English and Finnish. If you want to know further information of your search results you can click the keyword link and you will get Google search engine s query results of that keyword. Google will also select automatically the correct language for your matches.

8 User s Guide of METSTA Online Dictionary Search Application Page 8 of 8 If you select Finnish dictionary for your query language and type heat pump in the search field you will get nothing, no suggestions and no matches for your query. But if you type the keyword lämpöpumppu you will get as a query result all the Finnish words or phrases. And in the query results listing you will get the corresponding English terms also. You can use any textual or numerical terms as a special query keyword. You can even use special characters. ja and or etc. terms in the search field. If there are more than 1000 matches in your query result the listing will be truncated and only the first 1000 are selected for viewing. If you click the Standard keyword code link in the query results listing you will be transferred to the Finnish Standardization Company s Web site where you can purchase paper copy of your interesting standard.
