3 3 1. What is Law awtech Europe Congress? LawTech Europe Congress (LTEC) has been successfully hosted twice in Prague. The event website is The first event was held on the 12 th of November 2012 and the second event was held on the 21 st and 22 nd of October The scale and inclusiveness of the event was the first of its kind in the CE region. The majority view was that both LTEC events were a success and that the foreseeable trend is a conference that would grow from strength to strength due to its increasing importance in the region. The events created a huge amount of interest from delegates. In particular, services related to the gathering and analysis of information and data relevant to disputes, the role that technology is having on digital forensic investigations, fraud investigations, cyber security, delivery of legal services, compliance, digital identity, the lawful interception of electronic communication, document management, and the prosecution of electronic crime. Some samples of the positive feedback about the outcome of the conference are listed below; all of which emphasize the relevance of the conference in the CE region. At LTEC, participants have been impressed with the multitude of information that is being presented. LTEC takes knowledge, interaction, practical solutions, and business opportunities to a whole new level. This would be the ideal setting for sponsors and exhibitors to capitalise on their capabilities in the forensics, cyber security, and e-discovery space as well as utilising the network and reputation that they already possess.

CEE E Region and LawTech Europe Congress The CE region has maintained a stable GDP over the past few years and will now be in the position to allocate funds to expert services from both new and established technology partners. LTEC s focus has been to attract influential decision makers from the private and public sectors in the CEE region. They are attracted by the Labs/Demo sessions that resolve crossborder issues and investigations. These lab/demo sessions give delegates a greater reason to interact with other participants and exhibitors. A significant amount of publicity would be gained in the region due to LTEC s extensive social media and marketing drive. The aim has been to influence practitioners and decision makers about the quality and relevance of the issues being discussed at LTEC.

A Breakdown of LTEC 2013 Delegates by Professions The range of attendees from LTEC 2012 and 2013 varied from Lawyers to court experts, valuation experts, corporate managers, directors, Police, National Security Agents, Auditors, Prosecutors, and IT experts. The sectors represented were from law, academia, IT, information security, energy, media, the public sector, retail, finance, and telecoms, and more. The view from delegates was that this event was the first in terms of magnitude and depth of topics covered. They were astonished by the way in which the topics had matured and also surprised at how many practical solutions and demonstrations were on display from the sponsors and exhibitors.

6 6 4. A Breakdown of LTEC 2013 Delegates by Country LawTech Europe Congress 2012 and 2013 attracted delegates from a vast array of over 30 Countries. These countries included; Albania, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Guernsey, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and the United States, and more. LTEC s aim is to gradually move towards a more evenly distributed blend of countries delegates in attendance.

Extending LTEC to Other CE Countries In response to popular demand from other CE countries, the roadmap for LTEC is to expand to other CE countries such as Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Croatia. We also envisage staging an event in Germany in order to connect established forensics and e-discovery markets with the new markets of the CE region. This expansion not only covers the full breath of the CE countries, it will help to solidify the CE region as a new mature hub for legal technology and cyber security education and location for business opportunities. Our strategy is to aggressively capture new leads for our sponsors and partners. The start of the expansion is planned for 2015.
