GENERAL PROFILE He is a logistics consultant at grupo Bimbo. He has consulted for Mc Donalds, Pepsi-Geusa, Siemens VDO, Mc Donalds, Quilmes, Exxon. Since 1995 he has been an executive, consultante, profesor and researcher in logistics. He has been the 2005 winner of National Logistics award in Mexico. His main duties are now as executive and consultant in supply chain management. He is the founder of Vertebrar.com, an international consulting company. His last commitment in this company has been the design and management of a Logistics reengineering program for companies in the State of Mexico, a program that was developed for the automotive cluster of that state. As an academic, he has been the editor for Palgrave Macmilan of the book The Bullwhip Effect: A state of the Art review of methodologies, procedures and Cases with the participation of the main experts in the subject, such as Hau Lee, Seungjin Whang, Carlos Daganzo, John Sterman and Dennis Towill, among others. In Mexico, he is the author of the book Operando desde México: Claves para hacer negocios, which is in process of publication. He has authored the book Logistics Best Practices in Latin America, first book of this type edited in the región. He is preparing his fourth book, Supply Chain Performance Measurement Systems. He has given conferences, seminars and courses in some of the main universities of the American continent. February 2010-Present: Grupo Bimbo-Abastex: Having made a comprehensive logistics diagnostic, he made a logistics reengineering Project for Abastex, a warehouse of the group, in Mexico s DF metropolitan area. He implemented a forecasting and inventory system that generated savings for 1,000,000 U$ annualy. He has made a stance at the Center for Advanced Purchasing Management of Arizona State University (2001) to adapt some of its methologies to the argentine environment. His latest academic intent (February, 2009) has been to organize and direct the mission of Comecyt (in the State of Mexico) to MIT to launch a Logistics Center in Mexico. This project developed into the actual CLI- Mexico center which is coordinated by Logyca and Zaragoza Logistics Center.
