Who supplies the outsourced or managed service for your service desk and when does the contract expire? RESPONSE Question 1 There are 595 desktops, all are made by HP. Question 2 There are 102 Laptops, all are made by HP. Question 3 Nil. Question 4 Windows XP. Question 5 There are 2779 desktops and 602 Laptops. Question 6 There are 325 Windows servers and 18 Unix servers.

3 Question 7 There are 206 virtual servers. Question 8 British Transport Police use VM Ware virtualisation software. Question 9 British Transport Police use a mix of Windows Server 2003, Windows 2008 and SN Solaris. Question 10 British Transport Police does not have a contract in place for this maintenance as the incumbent supplier has just ceased trading. Question 11 British Transport Police uses DELL compellent SAN supported by an older HP-EVA SAN. Question 12 British Transport Police do not use an ERP/ERM application; there are individual systems from different suppliers. Question 13 Microsoft Office, Exchange/Outlook, Project and Share Point. Question 14 British Transport Police use ORACLE and SQL Server for core business applications with some limited use of MS Access for point solutions. Question 15 No information held.
