API/ARC builds the foundation to Recovery via a biopsychosocial model of health care. Multidisciplinary teams work collaboratively to provide a safe environment, encouraging the patient to participate in decisions regarding his/her care, as well as assisting with the coordination and establishment of a medical home after discharge. API/ARC is an energetic work environment with the support structure of a smaller, collegial practice. Hone your clinical skills or share your professional wisdom through teaching opportunities with students, visiting resident and fellow physicians. Highlights: Salary based on experience with starting annual salary of $199+K based on the Alaska Physician Fee Scale for a noncertified Psychiatrist. Board Certification begins with an annual salary of $203+K. Malpractice/liability coverage by the State of Alaska (does not provide coverage for services provided outside of API employment). Pediatric Emergency Medicine Providence Alaska Medical Center and an established private practice in Anchorage are partnering to bring a new Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician to serve the community. Prefer residency trained in Emergency Medicine with a Peds EM Fellowship. Physician must be board certified in Emergency Medicine. Ideal candidate should enjoy seeing pediatric and adult patient populations, be a self starter with superior communication skills, and adept in developing interpersonal relationships with patients and professional staff. Previous PEDS EM experience preferred. The physician hired will be brought on as an associate in a two year partner track and as an independent contractor with a performance based fee for service, as well as an additional hourly compensation for administrative and program development time. The hospital wants to establish a new Pediatric ED. The current 32 bed ED sees 17 percent pediatric patients out of a total of 70,000 patients annually, along with a five bed fast track with a volume of 14,000. Daily physician coverage is 60.5 hours. Specialized treatment rooms are also available in the ED for pediatrics, trauma, cardiac care and numerous other specialties. Pediatric Gastroenterology Providence Health & Services is seeking a BE/BC Pediatric GI to join a busy practice at our dedicated children's hospital, The Children s Hospital at Providence (TCHAP). Part of Providence Alaska Medical Center, Alaska's largest and most advanced hospital. Practice covers full range of Peds GI, so candidates must be comfortable with virtually all relevant procedures. As part of TCHAP, new physician will enjoy broad pediatric subspecialty support, including pediatric surgery, anesthesia and radiology, as well as endoscopy block time with anesthesia and excellent air ambulance services. TCHAP features a Level III nursery, 10 bed PICU and 44 bed NICU, statewide referral and virtually all pediatric subspecialty representation. The right physician will be free to choose to operate in a private practice or to be employed by Providence Health & Services. Perinatology Providence Alaska Medical Center in Alaska's largest city is seeking a progressive Perinatologist to join our team. Prefer experience with hands on targeted and 3D and 4D ultrasound, amniocentesis, CVS, first trimester screening certified, cordocentesis, intrauterine procedures, and rescue cerclage. This practice manages high risk maternal transports from all over the state and is the maternal medical control for the Lifeguard Air Ambulance System. The practice has a busy delivery and inpatient service and teaches third year family practice residents in high risk obstetrics. There is extremely strong NICU support with 24 hour in house Neonatologists, with availability of nitric oxide, pediatric surgery, pediatric cardiology, and high frequency ventilation services. The Alaska Native Medical Center is the tertiary medical center for the Alaska Native Health System. We have a 19 bed inpatient pediatrics unit, 17 bed newborn nursery and a 12 bed level II NICU. Our Hospitalists attend high risk deliveries; provide a Pediatric sedation service for radiologic and other procedures. Telephone consultation for providers in outlying areas of Alaska regarding pediatric patients, consultation for surgical services and ER at Alaska Native Medical Center and quarterly pediatric specialty field clinics in rural Alaska make our practice exciting and different. There are Intermittent teaching opportunities with residents and students and many pediatric subspecialties are available in Anchorage, including neonatology, critical care, pulmonology, neurology, cardiology, surgery, anesthesiology, and ophthalmology. In addition, all surgical specialties (ENT, neurosurgery, general surgery, and orthopedics) at ANMC have extensive experience treating children. OB GYN 12 FTE OB GYN group. SCF s OB GYN practice is a collaborative practice with Certified Nurse Mid wives. Women s Health Clinic Hours are Monday to Friday; 9 5. Call is one twelve hour one day and one night, per week. CNM s are first call deliver 90% of general deliveries; OB s are in house back up. OB call is in house 24/7 with one OB GYN and one CNM in house at all times. Approximately 25% of the practice is OB (11% C sections, 30% high risk); 75% is GYN. We average 1500 deliveries per year patients on a full day. The Women s Health Clinic currently employs 10 OB/GYN s, 11 CNM s, 10 RN Case Managers, LPN, Lab Tech, X ray tech and a Clinic Manager.
