OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - ACUTE CARE - PEDIATRICS and ADULTS California Quality Rehab & State-of-the-Art Facility with experienced Team of Therapists Opportunity to work INPATIENT ACUTE with PEDIATRICS and ADULTS SALARY Services will be provided to a nice mix of ortho, neuro, and stroke patients...as well as the to children and young adults facing the social, emotional and physiological effects of illness and injury The Occupational Therapist will help individuals achieve independence in all areas of their lives. The OT will work with children to enhance participation in everyday activities, play and sports, and the return to home, school or work. Monday through Friday schedule with limited weekends OTs receive a very competitive salary, as well as a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, pension, continuing education funds, flexible spending accounts, and a very generous PTO plan. The Director of Rehab is fabulous with mentorship. OTs and PTs work on teams and you rotate through the floors and different specialties. Joint replacement is big at this hospital so you will see this too. OTs and PTs work very closely with each other on the patients; and interdisciplinary team works close with OTs, PTs. The rehab group is very highly respected in this organization. OT will rotate through the different specialties such as cardiology / post op / oncology / neurology / ICU etc Schedule is flexible with 4 10-hour days or 5 8-hour days then every 6 weeks you work one weekend day and you can take the overtime pay or take a day off during the week. 4 Inpatient Rehab OT Columbia, South Carolina Job Type: Permanent Inpatient Rehab Unit which offers therapy for post-acute setting. Patient stay averages days; with >80% returning home Multidisciplinary teams of Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy Also on site are the Rehab Nurses, Medical Doctor, Case Manager and Social Worker A facility which offer private and semi-private rooms, gym, dining room, kitchen, small apartment which allows patients an area to practice their daily living activities improving their skills Patient Diagnosis consist of: Balance/Coordination problems, swallowing difficulty, moving difficulty, eating / grooming / dressing / homemaking challenges, plus memory difficulties and speech problems Notes from Director of Rehab: We are hitting the Activities of Daily Living for the patients on admission with an ADL with the eval as often as possible, with an additional ADL within the first three days if appropriate; and follow-up with therapeutic ADL every 7 days. We use E-stem for neuro patients and the typical strengthening and endurance equipment for patients. We are gearing more toward function of the patient and caregiver training. We do have a fully equipped kitchen for kitchen safety and simple meal preparation. The treatment time is usually 830 to 3:30pm with charting after that and evals as needed. The OT treatment time per patient is usually 90 minutes each 5 days a week; if ST is involved with the case it may be only 60 minutes per patient. Location: Warm climate and warm natured people. 5 Home Health OT Columbia, South Carolina Affiliated with Acute Care Hospital System Salary Base Salary is $26-$39/hr plus bonus (see below) Other Compensation The above hourly rate is what you would make per hour if you just got in 25 units per week. Anything over that you would make at the higher rate of pay listed below, then units would be $54.00 per unit, and 35 and over would be $59.00 per unit. There is a premium for weekend, but rarely have a need for a weekend OT.
