They may not be able to have an order ready within two hours of a call from a library. In addition to boxes, they also stock adhesives, desiccants (silica gel) and labels. Purchase orders accepted on large orders only. Empire does not stock a large inventory. They are willing to supply libraries and archives in the event of a disaster; however, they will only accept purchase orders for more than 200 boxes. Express Shipping is very willing to supply boxes to facilities following a disaster. They have a large inventory available at all times and can fill an order within two hours if library personnel can arrange to pick it up. Mulcorr has a large inventory that is available at all times, and they can fill an order within two hours if library personnel arrange to pick it up. Purchase orders sometimes accepted. Ryder has a limited supply of boxes available. The largest selection is at the Liverpool office. Rental personnel are available 24 hours a day. Disaster Coordinators should ask for the Rental manager when ordering boxes. The company also rents hand trucks. Purchase orders are accepted in some cases; it is recommended that arrangements be made beforehand. Victory is very willing to supply boxes to facilities following a disaster. They have a large inventory. Disaster Coordinators should specify book boxes when ordering. An order can be filled within two hours if library personnel pick up the order. Northland also has packaging tape available as well as a variety of other packaging supplies

They can fill an emergency order in two hours if library personnel pick up the order. Leviton is a service oriented company offering a full line of cleaning supplies, which include chemical disinfectants and cleaners, fans, water removal vacuums, and fire deodorizers. Maintenance sells mops, buckets, custodian clothing, gloves and aprons. They also rent water removal vacuums. Parish is a full service supplier of janitorial supplies, including chemical cleaning agents, deodorizing agents, disinfectants, fire deodorizers, hazardous waste absorbing materials, mops, buckets and pails, paper goods, rubber gloves and other rubber products, and soot sponges for soot removal. Freezer especially designed for short-term (up to 4 weeks) cold storage of water-damaged library materials. Capacity: approx. 9,000 books, or 900 cubic feet of documents. Operates at -20F constant temperature. Available as a regional resource to non-profit libraries, archives, historical societies, and museums in the Central New York area. Use for small disasters (fewer than 500 books) is discouraged; personnel listed above may be contacted for advice on dealing with small disasters. A library using the freezer will be charged on a cost-for-use basis covering the immediate expenses (electricity, repair, replacement of supplies) related to a particular incident, and may be asked to provide staff to help with clean-up after the freezer is emptied.
