Description This course will provide students the knowledge of commercial art. Students will produce various publications such as the Riverdale yearbook, a published tourism booklet, and various booklets/pamphlets. Students will develop a product and a line of advertising for that product. Students will create a package, magazine ad, and a commercial. Students will use a variety of computer programs for final production. Students will be able to apply knowledge learned in class to real-life job experience. Prerequisites 1. English 9, Information Processing 1, and computer applications (with a C or better average), and instructor s approval. Textbooks 1.. none. Required. Supplies 1. 3-ring binder or folder.
