Tiger population fragmentation - making it more difficult to meet mates Human-tiger conflict - any tiger that attacks humans, preys on livestock, or moves into a village is likely to be considered a problem tiger and killed by villagers trying to protect themselves. Imagine your friend wants to buy a tiger skin coat. What would you say to persuade them not to?

For the Tiger SOS campaign, to explore the new Tiger Territory exhibit and for more information on our Tiger conservation projects go to: A Tiger enclosure needs these things: Shelter outdoors, from all types of weather (sun, wind, rain, etc) A warm bed indoors (provide an indoor den as well as a shelter outside) Trees to give shade Long grass to hide in A pond with fresh water Toys to play with for enrichment, like balls, herbs and sacks A feeding pole (to put the meat up high, so that the tigers have to jump and climb to get at it) and some meat A door for keepers to get in to clean and provide food Lots of windows for the visitors to look through Safety barriers to keep the tigers safely inside and people safely outside the enclosure What else could you add? Be creative Think about the size of the enclosure, add a scale and draw in your tigers. Only two adult tigers can live together at a time, a male and a female. Why not work as a class to design and make the perfect tiger enclosure. Send your completed designs to us so we can see your work.
