9 Watching History Our 5th - 8th grade students gathered in the school library to witness the Presidential Inauguration Fiesta Medal Orders Do you want to own the first ever St. Pius X Church and School Fiesta Medal? Then this is your lucky day! Presale medals are $8 each. Order forms and money are due to Ms. Mindy at the Main office by February 14, After February 14 th, Fiesta Medals can still be ordered at a cost of $10 each. You can pick up a copy of the order form in the School Office or print out a copy from the school website

10 Early Learning Center Service Project In celebration of Catholic Schools Week 2017, PreK-3, PreK-4 and Kindergarten want to share God s love through a service project. The kids will be putting together care packages, called Socks of Love, to be distributed to St Vincent de Paul. We need your help in donating some supplies. This is a great opportunity to clean out your closet of all those little bottles of shampoo you pick up at hotels and the tiny tubes of toothpaste and toothbrushes you accumulate from the dentist! Here is a list of some things we need New pairs of long, warm socks, men s or women s (Crew Socks work best, any color) Travel size toiletries, such as Shampoo Conditioner Lotion Toothbrush Toothpaste Mouthwash Soap Body Wash Kleenex Hand sanitizer Cleansing wipes Deodorant Band-Aids Shaving cream/gel Shaving razors Chapstick Comb/brush We will fill the socks and send a message of encouragement from the children, and bring them to St Vincent de Paul. If you would like to donate money for us to purchase supplies, that would be equally welcome! You can bring the supplies or money (in a marked envelope) to Ms. Mindy s desk or any ELC classroom. There will be a marked box for the supplies and socks. We will need to have everything by Wednesday, February 8. Thank you so much for your support, donations and prayers. Nothing is too big (like the Crucifix from the Vatican) or too small (like a tote from South Padre). Everyone working together helps our students. All donations can be dropped off in the School Office. WE DON T MIND RE-GIFTING If you receive a gift card, as a Christmas present, for a store you do not frequent, don t worry, you can donate it to our school and we will add it to the Gala Silent Auction baskets. 13 St. Pius X Annual Parish Retreat February 24-26, 2017 Fr. Pat invites you and your family to our Annual Parish Retreat, at the beautiful H-E-B Foundation Camp in Leakey, Texas. Don't miss this opportunity to spend a relaxing weekend in the Texas Hill Country with family and friends of our Parish. The weekend schedule includes break-out catechesis sessions, fun filled activities include hiking, crafts, games, family style meals, fellowship, movie night and a camp fire. This year Mass will be incorporated into our Saturday evening schedule. The retreat begins Friday evening and we return Sunday morning (transportation on your own). Private accommodations are available for each family, couple or individual at this amazing camp site at the Foundation Camps. Cost is: $80 per family, $40 per couple or $20 per individual.
