5 Features & Benefits of Membership Access to the Virtual Club House, an online system for requesting flights, organizing shared flights, and seeing empty leg flights available at discounted prices. Members request for flights on short notice will be accommodated if aircraft is available. Services of a Flight Concierge to arrange all details related to your flights, including parking and ground transportation, catering preferences, FedEx shipment of additional baggage, and special needs or requests. After dark arrivals into Sun Valley. The Sun Valley Air Club is the only charter company with the training and clearance to fly into Sun Valley after dark. Arrivals and departures at private jet terminals, such as Atlantic Aviation in Sun Valley Freedom from TSA checks: no lines, screenings or carry-on restrictions. Passenger manifests are cleared with government no-fly lists prior to flights. Pet friendly flights are available, but those who do not wish to travel with pets on board will be on pet-free flights. 7 Upgrade Your Life SVAC Program Costs One Time Initiation Fee Individual Couple Each Additional Family Member $20,000 $32,500 $5,000 Annual Dues $6,000 $12,000 $4,500 I have been a fractional owner for over 10 years, and I am finding the Sun Valley Air Club and Mountain Aviation to be a nice alternative. When flying on routes outside of the SVAC key destinations, I am able to book exactly what I need at a lower cost than the fractional carriers can offer. The service is great. When booking on key routes, the Club can usually find someone to share the ride. It is nice to meet new people and share the cost. One huge benefit over flying with a fractional provider is that the operating rules are a little more flexible without sacrificing safety. The pilots are all well-trained in day and night mountain flying in general and the Sun Valley airport in particular, so they are approved to land after dark. Also, they are allowed to depart to and land from the north. Many times I have been stranded by a fractional carrier that is not allowed to depart to the north when the winds are not cooperating or operate after sunset. I feel very safe flying with SVAC/Mountain Aviation, have the convenience of no security checks or airport hassles and pay less than the fractional carriers charge.
