4 What is My ecampus? My ecampus is a web-based elearning platform where you can access all your course materials and assessments online. This means you can submit assessments and receive your results online through ecampus. What do I require to access My ecampus? Operating system Supported System Platforms: Win 7, Win 8, Mac OSX Internet speed Broadband connection, ADSL, T1/T2, fibre optic or cable. Dial-up access will be significantly slower and is not recommended. Internet browsers Download the latest version of one of the following browsers: - Google Chrome (most compatible with ecampus) - Mozilla Firefox - Internet Explorer - Safari (Mac users) Settings Please enable Cookies, Pop-ups, and Javascript on your computer (please refer to the Technical Support Guide in the Support area for assistance). Software Adobe Acrobat Reader - please download the latest version Microsoft Word (for PC)/Pages (for Mac), or download the free Open Office/WPS software as an alternative (please refer to the Technical Support Guide in the Support area for assistance). How do I access My ecampus and my course/s? You can access My ecampus through a web browser on any computer with an Internet connection. To access My ecampus: (1) Open a web browser and go to (2) You should see the My ecampus home page with the Login panel in the centre. Type in the username and password you have been ed and then click on the Login button. 1

5 You may log out of My ecampus at any time by clicking on the Log out link located in the top-right corner of the webpage. How do I navigate through My ecampus? Read the descriptions in the tables below for information on the highlighted sections of the MyeCampus dashboard. 7 How do I access my content and assessments? The course/s you are enrolled in are listed in the left menu area. Click on the course you wish to access and a list of the units for that course will be displayed in the main page area. Access each unit by clicking on the unit name. This will take you to all the learning resources and assessments for that unit. Main page area Left menu Induction Please start with the Induction unit at the top of the unit list. It is important that you complete the Induction at the start of your course to access all of the information you will need to successfully work through your course. You are required to complete the induction before you can start your course. Unit completion When you have completed a unit, a green tick icon will appear to the left of the Unit column and the word Completed in the Status column on the right. 4

8 Learning content and assessments To access your course materials and assessments for a unit, select and click on the unit link on the My ecampus main page. When you enter a unit the course materials and assessments available for that unit will be displayed. Work through all the learning modules in the order they are presented before you attempt the assessments. Submitting assignments Assignment documents can be downloaded and completed assignments uploaded and submitted in this area. 5

9 Follow these steps: 1. Click on the Download [Assignment name] link to download the document. 2. Save the document to your computer or external hard-drive/usb. 3. Complete the Assignment you may do this offline (i.e. without an Internet connection) 4. Return to the area where you downloaded the Assignment. 5. Click on the Choose File button. 6. Locate the file on your computer or external hard-drive/usb. 7. Click Open 8. You will now see your uploaded Assignment next to the Choose File button. 9. Click on the Submit Answers button at the bottom of the page. 10. You will receive an notification after you submit an Assignment. notification will also be sent to you after your Assignment has been marked. Assignment feedback is found in the area where your assignment was submitted. Important: Students who have been granted Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) are NOT required to complete assessments for their approved RPL units. Your approved RPL units are displayed on the My ecampus main page and display the word RPL in the Status column.
