This will enable you to develop your language skills and combine any number of courses to create a systematic language-learning program. At the start of your course we will ask you about your individual learning goals and follow up with ongoing support during the learning process. This results in tight integration of the classroom lessons, selfstudy activities and practice. The minimum booking is for five days of classroom instruction, starting any week. Beginners can join only at the start of courses. For more information, please contact the institute. For participants who only have two weeks and want to activate their German language skills. You will take part in an Intensive 4 course for two weeks. At the start of your course we will ask you about your individual learning goals and follow up with ongoing support during the learning process. 4 Intensive courses Intensive courses HEIDELBERG SUMMER COURSE Two weeks, 10 days of lessons UI (20 UI per week) ,560 The dates indicate the arrival and departure dates, and not the course dates. First week: 8:30 a.m. 12:00 noon; second week: 8:30 a.m. 12:45 The Heidelberg Summer Course will sweep you away to one of Germany s most beautiful cities. In this course you ll combine an intensive German course in the mornings with an extracurricular and sports program offering lots of variety. The course takes place in the modern conference center of the SRH University Heidelberg. The course fee includes a single room with breakfast in a four-star hotel with numerous amenities such as a fitness room and sauna. The well-appointed rooms have a shower and toilet, television, telephone and WIFI. The Goethe-Institut Mannheim provides preparatory courses for the DSH at the University of Mannheim and conducts the examination jointly with the university. Language course with 600 UI Orientation course with 60 UI In the language course you will learn and practice how to express yourself in important areas of everyday life in Germany. In the orientation course that follows, you will learn about German culture, politics, history and the legal system as well as values and customs that are important in German life. Learners will get to know the examination structure on the basis of examples and simulations of the various sections while practicing techniques/strategies. This course is suitable for you if you have been working for some time in Germany or are about to begin a residency to train as a specialist at a German hospital. With our German course you will enhance your communication and language skills while developing your intercultural competency for working in the medical field. You will learn new medical and pharmaceutical vocabulary terms, German colloquial expressions for diseases and organs, various forms of clinical documentation, and the correct style for writing physician s reports. We practice patient conversations with you, for example, in taking down medical histories and examination situations.
