(c) All Conventional and Parallel s in all Schools will commence in February (d) The closing date for submission of completed application forms is Friday 9 December 2016 GARY MAGADZIRE SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL SCIENCES Bachelor of Science Honours Degree (4 years Conventional/ 3 years Block Release) Geography and Environmental Science Statistics and Operations Research Computer Sciences a) At least five (5) O level passes including English Language and Mathematics at Grade C or better. b) At least two (2) A level passes in the relevant subjects or their recognised equivalents. c) For Computer Science and Statistics and Operations Research, at least two (2) A level passes including Mathematics or its recognized equivalents. Special Entry Candidates who possess a Certificate/Diploma in Education in which Geography, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics or its recognised equivalent is one of the major subjects studied will also be considered.

2 Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Agriculture (4 years Conventional/ 3 Years Block Release for candidates who are already working in a related area of specialization ) Soil and Plant Sciences Livestock, Wildlife and Fisheries a)at least five (5) O level passes including English Language, Mathematics and any Science Subject at Grade C or better. b)at least two (2) A level passes in any of the following subjects: Agriculture, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography and Mathematics. Special Entry a)at least five (5) O level passes including English Language, Geography and any Science Subject at Grade C or better. b) c)for Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Agriculture (Livestock, Wildlife and Fisheries), candidates should possess a Diploma in Agriculture/ Wildlife/ Fisheries/ Animal Health or any relevant Diploma from a recognised College/ University. 4 MUNHUMUTAPA SCHOOL OF COMMERCE Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree s (4 Years Conventional/ Parallel) (3 Years Parallel/ Block Release for candidates who are already working in a related area of specialization)) Accounting Banking and Finance a)five (5) O level passes or equivalent including English Language and Mathematics at grade C or better. b)2 A level passes including at least one commercial subject or Mathematics. c)for Office Management, a Diploma in Secretarial Studies will also be considered for entry into the programme. Economics Economics and Finance Information Systems d)for Office Management, a Diploma in Secretarial Studies will also be considered for entry into the programme. Marketing Management Business Management Office Management Risk Management and Insurance Applicants for Block Release s must attach Confirmation of Employment letters that include their duties and duration of employment on current job. Office Management, Transport and Logistics and Internal Auditing are offered on a block release basis only. Transport and Logistics Internal Auditing All Block Release Undergraduate Commerce s are only available for the Masvingo Classes. Postgraduate s (1 1 / 2 Years Release Block Master of Commerce Degree s Marketing Management a) Applicants must hold an appropriate Honours Degree with a minimum of a 2.2 degree class pass. b) Applicants who do not meet normal entry requirements, may, subject to the approval of the Senate, be admitted through Special Entry. Finance Applied Accounting Financial Economics Strategic Management NOTE: Masters Degree s are available for the Harare and Masvingo Classes. Applicants must clearly indicate on the Application Form whether they want to be considered for the Harare Cohort or Masvingo Cohort. 5 SIMON MUZENDA SCHOOL OF CULTURE AND HERITAGE STUDIES Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree (4 Years Conventional/ Parallel/ 3 years Block Release) Archaeology, Museums and Heritage Studies o Musicology and Ethnochoreology (a) At least five (5) O level passes at Grade C or better or equivalent including English Language (b) Two (2) A level passes in Arts subjects. Special Entry (a) Candidates in possession of a Certificate or Diploma in Archaeology, Museum or Heritage Studies will also be considered. (b)for Musicology and Ethnochoreology candidates in possession of a Certificate or Diploma in Music, or equivalent plus relevant music/work experience including five (5) O level passes or equivalent including English Language will be considered. Mature Entry (a) At least 25 years and have five (5) O level passes at Grade C or better or equivalent including English Language (b) A proven background in areas of community works and development is an added advantage (c) Candidates may also be required to undertake an entry examination administered by the Department as part of the process of satisfying entry requirements for admission to the programme. Special Entry a)candidates who possess relevant qualifications in the legal field or qualifications with substantial legal content at Diploma level will also be considered or b)a good first degree Notes (a) Applicants for normal entry must attach a confidential letter of recommendation from the last high school attended. (b) Applicants in the special entry category must attach a confidential letter of recommendation from their Head of Organisation. (c) Applicants must also obtain and attach police clearance.
