4 Disable Tabbed Browsing: Open Internet Explorer > Select Tools > Internet Options Under the Tabs Section of the General tab select Settings button Uncheck Enable Tabbed Browsing restart Internet Explorer 4

5 Disable Popup Blocker: Open Internet Explorer > Select Tools > Internet Options 5 Select the Privacy Tab Turn off Pop-up Blocker

6 Register ecms server: Open Internet Explorer > Select Tools > Internet Options 6 Select the Security Tab > Trusted Sites > Sites Add the ecms server URL in the entry field Select Add Uncheck box to require server verification

7 Enable ActiveX Component: Open Internet Explorer > Select Tools > Internet Options 7 Select the Security Tab > Trusted Sites > Custom Level Scroll down to the ActiveX controls and plugins section Enable all the ActiveX settings MORE

8 Disable 3 rd Party Tool Bars: Open Internet Explorer > Right click on the menu 8 Clear the Lock the Toolbars option

9 Setting up ecms desktop shortcut: Right click on the desktop 9 1. Select New > Shortcut 2. Select Browse to Internet Explorer Application Typically this is C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe 3. Append the path to add parameters new nomerge and the ecms server path so the text string looks like the example below. C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe new nomerge

10 Opening Multiple ecms sessions: Select ecms desktop shortcut you created in the previous step as the new nomerge in the text string will automatically open a new Internet Explorer session each time you select the icon. 2. Or, select File > New Session when you first open Internet Explorer

11 Set monitor settings: Start > Control Panel > Display 11 Select the Settings Tab Using the Screen Resolution bar slide the arrow to the optimum setting of 1024 x 768 (or higher) Select Apply to accept the new resolution.
