Be sure to use as much detail as possible and to address every question. 1. Geography (Leader) Where is it located? What types of landforms is it located next to in the mountains, near a river, on the coast, on an island, etc.? Are you near other cities? Why did you choose this location? What are some negative elements of your location? 2. Economy (Economic Advisor) Based on the landforms and resources around your city, what are your most important trade goods? How do you ship your goods? Who do you trade with? Currency: draw a picture of the currency that your city-state uses.

Religion (Priest) Name of god/goddess Their power or role Why you chose this god/goddess over the others Draw a picture of the temple that will be built in honor of the god your city is devoted to. 5. Military (General) Is your military large or are you a peaceful people? Is your military known for its army or navy? Do you have a choice of being a soldier or not? What is the role of men and women in your city- state? Shield: Soldiers in Greece would have some sort of symbol on their shield that identified them with their city- state. Design a round shield with the symbol of your city- state. 6. Culture (Teacher) Name and describe two ideas from Greek culture that would be taught in your city- state. 7. Philosophy (Teacher) Which philosopher would you like to have teaching the people of your city- state? Which lessons or ideas from this philosopher would you want your people to follow? 8. Map (All Members) Draw a layout of your city and the surrounding area. Be sure to include the following places on the layout: public buildings, market, temple, city walls (optional), resources, residential houses, barracks (optional), landforms. 9. Slogan (All Members)
