12 Participation of Partner Countries in KA 2 projects? All partner countries can participate in Strategic partnerships or Knowledge alliances as partners Partner countries should bring an essential added value to the project. Partner country partner: Should be really unique. Cannot be replaced by a European partner (participating country partner). Gives input to achieving all the project outputs and results.

24 General conditions for Strategic Partnerships Minimum partnership: 3 organisations from 3 participating countries In addition to HEIs enterprises, public authorities and associations Organisations from third countries may also participate if they bring clear added value to the project. Project duration 2-3 years, funding max / 3 years De-centralised administration = Applications in Finland to CIMO Budget is constructed of 7 cost items (items according to project activities) Management and implementation Transnational project meetings Intellectual outputs Multiplier events Transnational learning / teaching / training activities Exceptional costs (e.g. subcontracting) Special needs support

25 What budget covers? Self-financing share? For Strategic Partnerships Eligible period for costs 24 months or 36 months from onwards Total budget / year, max / 3 years -> flexibility between years Support up to 10 organisations EU support will not cover all the costs, participating organisation must include their own funding to implementation. Self-financing / in-kind share in not defined and organisations do not have to indicate the share in application nor reporting.» Make a shadow budget with real estimated costs for the project

Large scale cooperation projects between HEIs and enterprises Open to all disciplines, sectors and to cross-sectoral cooperation Goals: To increase innovation potential and long-term cooperation between education and working life Exchange information and transfer of innovations Develop new, innovative and multidisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning Stimulate entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial skills

29 Examples of activities in Knowledge Alliances projects Development of teaching methods, multi-disciplinary curricula and joint degree programmes in cooperation with enterprises Support for and development of multi-disciplinary, student-centered and problem-oriented studies Entrepreneurship education in any discipline Schemes of transversal skills learning in cooperation with enterprises Project may include small scale mobility if it supports the goals for the project.

36 Aim: Sport To tackle cross-border threats to the integrity of sport at grass-root level (doping,match-fixing, violence, intolerance, discrimination) To promote and support good governance in sport and dual career of athletes To promote voluntary activities, social inclusion and equal opportunities, together with the awareness of the importance of health-enhancing physical activity (HEPA), and equal access to sport for all To support grass-rool level networking, developing and testing new implementation methods and sharing good practices Who can participate? Different kind of organisations operating in sports and physical activity Public organisations, such as cities and municipal units Players associations and Sport Clubs Natioal Olympic committees Schools and Education providers, organisations, assocications, etc. working and operating with physical activity Funding is granted for collaborative partnerships and not-for-profit sports events. 37 Sport for Collaborative partnerships Collaborative Partnerships European networks in the field of sport Opportunity for cooperation among stakeholders (not existed without EU action) for innovative practices Foster synergies with, and between, local, regional, national and international policies to promote sport and physical activities Support the testing and development of new project formats and new forms of transnational cooperation Collaborative Partnerships - Activities Networking among key stakeholders Development, identification and sharing of good practices Implementation, development and implementation of training educational modules and tools Activities to increase the competences of multipliers in the field of sport and to develop monitoring and benchmarking of indicators Awareness-raising activities on the added value of sport and physical activity in relation to the personal, social and professional development of individuals; Activities to promote innovative synergies between the field of sport and the fields of health, education, training and youth; Activities to improve the evidence-base of sport to tackle societal and economic challenges Conferences, seminars, meetings, events and awareness-raising actions underpinning the aforementioned activities.

38 Sport for Collaborative partnerships Eligibility Criteria Non-profit organisations and public bodies At least 5 organisations from 5 different Programme Countries 1 st round of the year (related to the 2016 European Week of Sport): maximum 18 months. 2 nd second round of the year (not related to the 2016 European Week of Sport): from 12 to 36 months. Funding: 1 st round applications ( ) max (max 80%) 2 nd round applications ( ) max (max 80%)

39 Aim: Sport for Small Collaborative partnerships offer the opportunity to conceive, implement and transfer innovative practices in different areas relating to sport and physical activity between various organisations Encourage social inclusion and equal opportunities in sport, especially by supporting the implementation of EU strategies, notably the EU Gender Equality Strategy and the EU Disability Strategy; Promote European traditional sports and games; Support the mobility of volunteers, coaches, managers and staff of nonprofit sport organisations; Protect athletes from health and safety hazards by improving training and competition conditions. Promote the creation and development of transnational networks in the field of sport. Foster synergy with, and between, local, regional, national and international policies to promote sport and physical activity and to address sport-related challenges.

42 Application quality A strong proposal is: Coherent (problems, solutions, target groups, activities, budget, ambitions/resources/competence) Simple (objectives, approach) Evidence based (needs analysis, state of art) Clear (identifying the need for such proposal, the solutions, and the outputs) Rigorous in its planning (which activities, when, for how long, and with what resources) Explicit (do not take for granted any information, if it is not in the application it cannot be taken into account) Circumscribed (a proposal is not about solving the world s problems, but about solving a specific issue)

43 Electronic Submission Register in the Participant portal Create individual ECAS account (if you have participated in FP7 programme, you have already an account) You will need our university s PIC code, both applicant and partner organisations need PIC Download of e-forms no paper version!» Different e-forms and annexes for different actions (CIMO and EACEA); MAKE SURE YOU USE THE RIGHT E-FORM! Save e-form on your local computer, does not work online (Adobe Reader 9.1, pdf-file) Annexes to application: Mandate letter from partners: signed and scanned (template from CIMO) Declaration of Honour from applicant: signed by rector /legal representative and scanned Timetable / Gantt-chart of equivalent

44 Calculating the project budget In KA2 projects BUDGET is based on UNIT COSTS Management: unit cost per month per organisation Project meetings: number of mobilities concerning project partner meetings; max 40 mobilities per year Number of intended working days needed to produce intellectual outputs; 4 staff categories, 4 country categories Organisational costs of multiplier events based on number of participants (domestic and foreign) Number of mobilities planned for learing / teaching / training activities (duration 5-14 days, days, 61 days 12 months)» In the final report no real cost have to reported, but how activities, mobilities, events have been carried out.» Budget WILL NOT cover all costs occurred by implementation of Erasmus+ project» Calculate a shadow budget with real costs!

Project management and implementation Costs of management and implementation of the project: e.g. development and design, communication with project partners, small scale data production, financial management On-line meetings, local activities Dissemination: www-pages, brochures, social media Management support to coordinator: 500 / month = / year Management support to partner: 250 / month = / year Max. 10 partner (1-9) = 2750 / month = / year

Transnational project meetings Travel to partner meetings: amount covers costs of subsistence and travel Number of meetings and participants have to be justified Cost are based on distance of travel: short distance travel ( km): 575 /participant/travel long distance travel (2000 km -): 760 /participant/travel travel less than 100 km is not supported Use EC/Erasmus + Distance calculator to calculate travel support: Max / year (40 trips when all are short distance). Duration of travel or meetings is not limited.

Intellectual outputs Salary costs for production of intellectual outputs. 4 salary and 4 country categories: Categories for Finnish organizations: Manager: 280 /day Researcher/teacher/trainer/youth worker: 214 /day Technician: 162 /day Administrative: 131 /day Salaries are according to persons position in their own organization, not in the project. NOTE! manager- level salary is only for management, in practice most salaries are budgeted according to teacher/researcher or technician -categories

Multiplier events Events to disseminate and communicate intellectual outputs and sharing best practices Targeted for audience outside partner consortium Can be national or international Support according to number of participants, support is used for organization of event: venue, catering, materials, travel and accommodation of speakers, etc. Participants from organizing country: 100 /person Participants from other countries: 200 /person Partner costs for traveling to Multiplier events is budgeted under transnational project meetings category NOTE! If you organize an event solely on-line (webinar) costs are covered from Project management -category. Support for Multiplier events is max /project, regardless of project duration or number of partners.

Transnational learning/teaching/training activities Activity must be justified and relevant to achievement of project goals Participants are teachers, staff and/or students/learners NOTE! No activities outside Erasmus+ participating countries 2 categories: Short term up to 60 days Long term 61 days to 12 months 3 costs categories: A. Travel B. Individual support (accommodation and stay) C. Linguistic support (only for long term with justification)
