1 Admission Information for 2017 Fudan University Postgraduate Programs for International Students Key Facts: Fudan University offers 163 Master and 121 Doctoral programs from 32 Schools or Departments to international students in There are English-taught programs and Chinese-taught programs. All the programs are full-time. Master programs:2-3 years, Academic Degree and Professional Degree Doctoral programs:3 years, Academic Degree Entry requirements: Applicants should be non-chinese citizens with a valid ordinary-type passport, be in good health, have attained a degree (Bachelor s degree for Master applicants, Master s degree for Doctoral applicants) and meet the language requirements. Language requirements: If you want to study at Fudan University, you must prove that your Chinese (for Chinese-taught program) or English (for English-taught program) is good enough for you to successfully complete your course. (1)For Chinese-taught program: a copy of valid HSK results Subject Sciences,engineering and medicine Art, humanities, management, journalism, law and social sciences HSK Level 5 (210 in total or above) Level 5 (240 in total or above) or Level 6 (180 in total or above) If you have successfully completed a bachelor s degree or master s degree taught in Chinese in China, usually you don t need to provide the copy of valid HSK results. Application time: The first stage: Form November 28, 2016 to February 19, 2017 (Can submit the scholarship application at the same time) The second stage: Form February 20, 2017 to April 30, 2017 (Self-support students) Majors Available: For international applicants who are interested in postgraduate programs at Fudan University, please check the list of all majors at How to apply: 1. Register on the online application system for international students, fill in the application form, upload the application documents listed below and submit the application. You can track its process once you have submitted it. ( 2. Pay application fee (800 RMB) online. Application without application fee will not be processed. (Online payment only. Application fee is not refunded.) 3. When the online application is confirmed (about 1-2 weeks after submitting the application), 1

Submit the required paper documents When the online application is confirmed, applicants must send the required paper documents to the related school/department of Fudan University by mail, courier or in person in two weeks. Otherwise, it will be considered as a waiver of the application. The arrival time of the application documents will be subject to the receipt time of the mail. Two recommendation letters. The referee should be professor or associate professor or person with relevant academic title. The recommendation letter must be in Chinese or English and the referee s signature and contact information are necessary. If the recommendation letter is sealed, you do not need to upload it, but mail the sealed recommendation letter directly to the relevant school/department of Fudan University. 4. Transcripts of highest degree conferred (master or bachelor). 5. Diploma of highest degree conferred (master or bachelor) or proof of impending graduation (for applicants in their final year of study). 6. Language certificate and score report (Chinese or English). 7. Catalogue and abstract of published papers, or other documents that can prove academic ability (not compulsory). The above-listed application documents in Item 4, 5, 6 must be original or notarized copy, and with notarized Chinese or English translation if the original one is not in Chinese or English. Supplementary application documents may be required when necessary. All documents submitted for application will not be returned. Sealed recommendation letters (only for applicants who have not submitted the electronic recommendation letters online). Shanghai Government Scholarship for International Students It is established by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission to fund distinctive prospective international students to study postgraduate programs at higher educational institutions in Shanghai. Applicants who want to apply for the scholarship listed above, MUST fill in the related forms on and and then log on the online application system for international students ( and complete the application process. Chinese Government Scholarship Program (scholarship quota specified according to inter-governmental agreements) It is established by MOE in accordance with educational exchange agreements or MOUs (memorandum of understanding) signed between Chinese government and governments of other countries, organizations, education institutions and relevant international organizations to provide both full scholarships and partial scholarships. Applicants shall apply to China Scholarship Council for the scholarship through dispatching authorities, institutions or the Chinese diplomatic missions. 5 Medical insurance According to the regulations issued by the Chinese Ministry of Education, All international students are required to purchase the Comprehensive Insurance &Protection scheme for Foreigners Staying in China on the registration day. 6 Application Procedures of Postgraduate Programs for International Students, 2017 Fudan University Application: self-support Chinese Government Special Scholarship Shanghai Government Scholarship Register on the website( choose Self-support and then the program, fill in the application form and upload application documents. If applying for scholarship, log on the website of CSC or Study in Shanghai and fill in the application form for scholarship. Pay application fee (800 RMB) online The school/department reviews application documents (If the documents are incomplete, the application will be returned and need to be modified, then submit again.) Wait for the confirmation of application (about 1-2 weeks), print the application form and mail paper application documents Applicants who don t apply or are not recommended for scholarship, but meet the admission requirements, can be admitted as self-support students The school/department reviews the applicants documents If the applicants cannot meet the admission requirements, the application will be rejected. Scholarship applicants who meet the admission requirements will be selected and recommended by school/department as the candidates for scholarship.
