The UGC(NET) Test will determine the eligibility of Indian National candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships and for appointment of Lecturers in Universities and colleges in the subjects falling Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Application and Electronic Science. The UGC (NET) Humanities Test comprises of 3 papers. UGC conducts NET twice a year i.e. in the month of June and December. The MULTINATIONAL-UGC (NET) package has been designed with a view towards generating supreme confidence for success at the UGC (NET) Test. MULTINATIONAL-UGC (NET) course is also useful to prepare for State Eligibility Test (SET/SLET) of various States. From this June 2012 onwards, UGC is going to conduct NET exam in objective mode. The New pattern of Exam is 1. The UGC-NET will be conducted in objective mode from June 2012 onwards. The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held on the day of Examination in two separate sessions as under: Session: First Paper: I 60 out of which 50 questions are to be attempted 50x2 = 100 1¼ Hours (09.30 a.m. to a.m.) Session: First Paper: II 50 questions all of which are compulsory 50x2 = 100 1¼ Hours (10.45 a.m. to Noon.) Session: Second Paper: III 75 questions all of which are compulsory 75x2 = 150 2½ Hours (01.30 p.m. to p.m.) The candidates are required to obtain minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III as given below:

2 SCHEME OF THE TEST The Test will consist of three papers. Paper-I will consist of 60 multiple choice questions of two mark each will be given, out of which the candidate would be required to answer any 50 questions. The paper shall be of general nature intended to assess the teaching / research aptitude of the candidate. It is designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension and divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. In the event of the candidate attempting more than fifty questions, the first fifty questions attempted by the candidate would be evaluated. Total Marks of Paper-I will be 100. Paper-II will consist of 50 objective type questions, of 2 marks each, all of which are compulsory, based on the subject selected by the candidate. The candidates will have to mark their response for each question on the answer sheet attached at the end of the test booklet. Total Marks of Paper-II will be 100. Paper-III will consist of 75 objective type questions, of 2 marks each, all of which are compulsory, based on the subject selected by the candidate. The candidates will have to mark their response for each question on the answer sheet attached at the end of the test booklet. Total Marks of Paper-III will be 150. Only such candidates who obtain the minimum required marks in each Paper, separately, as mentioned above, will be considered for final preparation of result. However, the final qualifying criteria for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and eligibility for Lecturership shall be decided by UGC before declaration of result. Fee) * Postal charges for delivery only in India.. ** Study material includes course syllabus, practice test series and question bank Eligibility NET (i) Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/PH/BL) without grace or rounding off in Master s Degree or equivalent examination in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Applications, Electronic Sciences etc. are eligible for this test. (ii) Candidates who are in the final year or have appeared for Master's degree or equivalent examination can also apply for the test. However, such candidates will be considered eligible for JRF/LS only after they have passed the Master s Degree Examination or equivalent with at least 55% (50% marks for SC/ST/PH/BL) marks. These candidates must submit their P.G. Mark sheet within two years of the declaration of the result of NET exam. (iii) The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master's level examinations were completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for relaxation of 5% of marks (i.e from 55% to 50%) to appear in NET Examination. (iv) Candidates have to appear in the subject of their Post Graduation only. The Candidates whose PG subjects is not covered in the list of subjects provided by UGC, may appear in the subject related to the one they had at PG.

5 EXEMPTION (ELIGIBILITIY FOR LECTURESHIP 1. For M.Phil/ Ph.D candidates: NET shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as lecturer for those with post-graduate degree. However, the candidates having Ph.D degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET for PG level and UG level teaching. The candidates having M.Phil degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET for UG level teaching only. The candidates who have passed the UGC/ CSIR JRF examination prior to 1989 are also exempted from appearing in NET. 2. For SLET Candidates: The candidates who have cleared the State Level Eligibility Test (SET/SLET), accredited by the UGC for Lectureship prior to 1st June 2002, are exempted from appearing in the NET Examination. For SET/SLET examinations scheduled in or after June 2002, the qualified candidates shall be eligible to apply for the post of lecturer only in the university/ colleges belonging to the same state who s SET/SLET Examination they have cleared. However, those candidates are also eligible to apply for appearing in the NET, if they so desire. Age Limit: The upper age limit for being eligible for the test is as below: (a) For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Candidate should not be more than 28 years on for Dec Exam and for June 2011 Exam relax able up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH/BL and women applicants. 3 years relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates possessing L.L.M. Degree. (b) For Lectureship: There is no upper age limit. Batch starts from January, March, April, July, and October onwards. 1. The Fees should be sent by Money Order / Demand Draft in the name of Multinational Business Academy payable at Noida. 2. The Fees may also be tendered in CASH at the Office counter against our receipt when admission forms are handed over personally at the office. 3. Full Fees are to be paid at the time of admission then only students will get ID and password. 4. The Fees once paid will not be refunded or transferred in part or full under any circumstances.

6 Rules & Regulation 1. Admission is open to all students who would be eligible to appear for the examination. 2. The Application Form should be neatly filled in the applicant s own handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS. 3. One passport size photograph should be pasted on the application form in the space provided. 4. Every student, on admission, will be assigned a Roll Number. This number should be quoted in all future correspondence with the Academy. 5. The study material, are the property of the Academy and should be used confidentially. 6.
