They continue to be specifically designed for smooth, easy, and reliable operation during line construction work. Nylon straps and fiberglass handles provide some dielectric properties, when clean and dry. These hoists are not insulated live-line tools. These hoists should be used with appropriate length, properly applied insulating link sticks when working on energized electrical lines. See next page. Most of the hoists listed in this section are "convertible" models. They can be used in a "single" or "double" strap mode. The single strap mode allows for a longer reach at half the capacity.
