2 A FIXTURE THAT REFUSES TO COMPROMISE INSTANT RESTRIKE FOR ENERGYSAVING SENSORS In the past, full controls in freezer applications demanded compromise. Traditional lighting technologies require as long as 15 minutes to reach full brightness, which meant that workers would often be in and out of an area before sensored lights could reach full brightness. The QAL solves this problem by reaching full brightness in seconds so that occupancy sensors can be used without any loss in brightness. When combined with occupancy sensors, the QAL s low wattages drastically reduce energy usage in freezers and create compelling paybacks. CUTTINGEDGE THERMAL TECHNOLOGY Because heat is directly related to the usable life of LED components, [P2] commits extensive resources to the designs of thermal management systems in order to ensure maximum component life and future serviceability. The QAL contains a patentpending housing with 6.9 ft 2 of heatsinking surface area per linear foot of housing. This allows the length of the fixture to be increased to reduce component temperature.

3 LIFECYCLE CONSCIOUS DESIGN The QAL incorporates a removable and replaceable modular light engine cartridge that can be replaced independently of the fixture body. This reduces the fixture s longterm maintenance costs, and helps protect against obsolescence by allowing for LED cartridge upgrades as technologies advance. ADVANCED OPTICS The QALLED s optics have been custom designed to maximize the fixture s performance. The asymmetrical aisle lighter option maximizes vertical foot candles to improve the visibility of product shelves in racked aisles. The 50 high bay option provides balanced illumination for general open area freezer applications. The following pages contain results from independent laboratory tests performed on two [P2] QALLED fixtures one in an aisle lighter configuration, and one in a 50 open area configuration. All testing is conducted in accordance with LM7908 and LM80 Approved Method: Electrical and Photometric Measurements of SolidState Lighting Products as published by the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA). Field results may differ from computer modeling due to factors including but not limited to: Ambient Temperature, line voltage variations, installation, reflectances and other site specific conditions.
