Founded in 1970, Santa Reparata International School of Art (SRISA) is an independent non-profit higher education institution widely recognized as a leading international art and design school in Italy. SRISA provides accredited programs of study including: semester programs, year programs, summer courses, SRISA believes that a balanced curriculum of hands-on courses in Studio Art and Design, interlayed with Liberal Art and Italian Language courses, provide the most comprehensive experience for students who have chosen Florence as their place of study. The curricula are based on the American university model and are taught in English; however, our students come from many cultural backgrounds. With its forty-year history, Santa Reparata has become a part of the cultural fabric of Florence, with strong ties to the artistic and local community. Although students partake in a myriad of options outside the classroom, the SRISA campus and annexes offer well-equipped facilities for students educational

STUDY ABROAD - SEMESTER & YEAR PROGRAM Fall (15 Weeks). September-December. Total Credits: Spring (15 Weeks). January-April. Total Credits: Year Program (30 Weeks). September-April. Total Credits: STUDY ABROAD - SUMMER PROGRAM Session I (3-4 Weeks). May. Total Credits: 3-6 Session II (4 Weeks). June-July. Total Credits: 3-6 Session III (4 Weeks). July-August. Total Credits: 3-6 POST-GRADUATE PROGRAMS The Post-Graduate Certificate in Visual Art and Master s of Art Diploma in Visual Art are intensive programs offering candidates a curriculum dedicated to studio work, intense critique, art theory, and a collaborative or solo exhibition. SHORT-TERM COURSE PROGRAM Month long courses provide independent students an opportunity to study in Florence on a non-credit basis. INTERNSHIPS SRISA s internship program invites students to gain work experience in an international environment, for credit or on a non-credit basis. 4 STUDENT LIFE Services Student well-being is of primary importance to SRISA. We seek to provide a safe and productive learning environment and tools to aid students in reaching their goals through study abroad. From the enrollment process and onward, our entire staff is dedicated to helping students transition from home to Florence. Orientation Week Upon arrival in Florence, SRISA provides housing assistance and check-in, maps, cellular phone and visa assistance, campus walks, and refreshments. Students attend Italian language workshops and art & culture seminars that include tours, culinary lessons, and group events to help facilitate the integration of each student to their new environment. Housing Students are housed in residential Florentine apartments located within a 20-minute walk from the main campus. Apartments vary in size with a combination of single and double bedrooms (4-6 people average per apartment). All apartments are fully furnished with the essential necessities for independent living. Activities The academic program is enhanced with beyond-the-classroom learning, extracurricular activities, language exchange, field trips, museum visits, guest lecturers, welcome dinners, gallery exhibits in the SRISA Gallery of Contemporary Art, and student art and fashion shows. Field Trips SRISA offers unique opportunities to explore Italian history, culture, and gastronomy through day and weekend field trips. The school coordinates optional field trips to cities such as Venice, Rome, Milan, Pompei, and Palermo. Course required field trips combine in-class and onsite lessons and include the Venice Biennale, Milan Fashion Week, and Rome for the study of Ancient Roman History.

As a smaller specialized school, SRISA enriches students in a dynamic international setting where the average class size is 8-12 students. Students may obtain a US transcript for courses completed at SRISA or opt for a Maryville University transcript for a fee. Maryville University in St. Louis, MO is SRISA s school of record and is accredited through the The Higher Learning Commission and a member of North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Students should check with their academic advisor at their home institution for transferability of SRISA and Maryville University credit.

6 SRISA FACILITIES & CAMPUSES Main Campus: San Gallo 53R is housed in the historic Libreria Le Monnier. The building features large studios, darkrooms, laboratories, lecture rooms, a library with computers, lounge, faculty and administrative offices, and the SRISA Contemporary Art Gallery. Studio 41: The Fashion and Interior Design space features well-illuminated studios equipped with sewing machines, dress forms, Mac computers, and expansive work areas. Project Space: The art gallery is a work/exhibition space for emerging artists and graduate candidates. Fuji: The privately operated campus houses the jewelry, silkscreen, and batik textile studios.
