The 67 acre site is being transformed into a new part of the city with homes, shopping, offices, hotels, music venues, galleries, bars and restaurants. This rapidly evolving place is fast becoming one of the most unique destinations in London. It s also an exciting setting for events, festivals and performances both public and private. The mix of the old and the new at King s Cross gives the area a unique character and sense of place. Historic buildings are being creatively restored and complemented by contemporary architecture. These buildings sit within a framework of inspiring new public spaces, streets and squares. The development has already played host to a wide range of events from arts and music festivals and shows to private functions and receptions. 5 1 Battle Bridge Place 2 King s Boulevard This is the gateway to King s Cross and St Pancras International stations and one of the highest footfall areas on the site. It is an ideal space for small events, pop up installations and a variety of enlivenment activities. The large open nature of this space provides great flexibility. Surrounded by the multi award-winning buildings of King s Cross and St Pancras stations, this space boasts a backdrop of stunning architecture spanning the last two centuries. Battle Bridge Place is suited to events that require a high profile, and which benefit from high footfall and a diverse target demographic. This high footfall route is a striking tree-lined avenue linking the northern and southern parts of King s Cross. Already home to KERB one of London s finest street food markets its central location makes it ideal for enlivenment activities and events that enrich the experience of those who already visit King s Boulevard. As the main route to Granary Square (4), King s Boulevard is an ideal space to use in conjunction with large scale events on the square.

6 3 Canalside Steps 4 Granary Square These south-facing steps sweep down to Regent s Canal from Granary Square (4). A natural theatre, this space is ideal for outdoor arts, music recitals and cinema screenings. Approximately 200 people can be accommodated. The connection to the canal tow-path makes it an ideal stop-off point for canal boats, bringing a unique opportunity to incorporate the canal network into your event. The steps are a natural relaxation area which means small scale enlivenment activities also work extremely well here. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Granary Building, Granary Square is the epicentre of King s Cross. It is also one of the largest urban spaces of its kind in Europe. The square holds up to 4,000 people, making it ideal for a whole range of events including arts and music showcases. The square features dramatic choreographed fountains comprising 1,080 individually lit water jets. This unique feature can be incorporated into events; or it can be covered to enable the square to hold its maximum capacity. Granary Square can also be adapted so that smaller events and installations can benefit from this spectacular outdoor space.

7 5 West Handyside Canopy 6 Outdoor Sports Area This unusual outdoor covered space is suitable for hosting all sorts of events from destination attractions and art installations to corporate events, brand showcases and more. The space can be sectioned off to any required size. Its location makes it an ideal extension to large-scale events taking place on Granary Square. At approximately 80 x 30m, and with a capacity of a thousand or more, it is one of the largest event spaces on the site and one of the most versatile. Depending on the nature of your event, there may be some acoustic restrictions within this space. This outdoor sports area is perfect for a wide range of sporting and non-sporting events. Five-a-side football and basketball tournaments, sports demonstrations, youth events or team building exercises could all be hosted here. The sports area can also be used as part of a larger scale event, with several activities running in different spaces around the development. The sports area measures 18 x 35m. Floodlighting extends use into the evening and all-weather surfacing means you can use the pitch for sports activities whatever the weather.
