1 CONFIGURE, PRICE, AND QUOTE CLOUD Release Content Document See what s coming in Oracle CPQ Cloud 2014 R1 ORACLE CPQ CLOUD Oracle Configure, Price, and Quote Cloud (Oracle CPQ Cloud) enables companies to streamline the entire opportunity-to-quote-to-order process, including product selection, configuration, pricing, quoting, ordering, and approval workflows. Oracle CPQ Cloud provides a flexible, scalable, enterprise-ready CPQ solution ideal for large companies with complex products and services across direct, indirect, and ecommerce sales channels. EASY ADMINISTRATION TEMPLATE DESIGNER UPDATES Updates to the current Template Designer will provide administrators with a more robust and intuitive way to build and manage Templates. New features include: Dynamic editing pane: allows for faster and more effective editing of Elements Table Row Looping: iterates over Line Items in a Transaction Conditional Page Elements: allows for displaying Elements when they meet a defined criteria Drag & drop of Table Columns and Rows Selection of multiple Elements: allows for applying edits to and/or deleting selected Elements at once Automatic Text Element in new Table Cells: empty Text Elements are automatically populated within newly added Table Cells ATTRIBUTE-PART ASSOCIATION The number of rules administrators will be required to write decreases dramatically with the introduction of Attribute-Part Associations. The administrator will have the ability to bind a Configuration Integer or Boolean Attribute to a single Parts Database Record without the use of Recommended Item Rules. At run-time on the sales user side, the associated Part will be added to the Mandatory Recommended Items if the Integer value is >0 or the Boolean is True. 1

2 New features include: Associate a Part Number and Comment with an Integer or Boolean Configuration Attribute: o Integer Attributes will add Mandatory Parts with a quantity equal to the value of the Attribute o Boolean Attributes will add Mandatory Parts with a quantity of 1 EASY ADMINISTRATION GENERAL ENHANCEMENTS Template Image URLs can use BasePath Image BasePaths can be inserted into the Template Image URL fields. Copy BML Library Function A Copy action button will be available within the Util and Commerce Libraries so that BML Library Functions may be copied and renamed. This allows administrators to manage versions and build new functions based off existing ones. Log into Other Sites without Requiring Logout A Disconnect action button will now be available in the Migration Center. This allows administrators to switch between multiple source environments within the same session. Delete Column Mappings Administrators will have the ability to delete Data Columns without being required to undeploy the Commerce Process. Warning messages will point users to any existing Column Mappings so dependencies can be removed. First Column of Data Table Can be Empty String Column Now, the first column of a Data Table can be populated with an empty string. A row with data must follow. JavaScript can be inserted into the head element of a html document JavaScript can now be inserted into the sales user side Head Element of a HTML Document. This allows third party analytic links to be inserted onto the site page so administrators may track sales users through the system. BML Array size limit increased The BML Array size limit has been increased. Now, by default, row size is set to Default column size remains set to 50. Deletion of Data Table rows in CSV Upload A new column called Update will be added to CSV Uploaded Data Tables. This column allows administrators to delete Data Table rows. The Update column is only available on Delta Data Table Uploads (Natural Keys) - enabled Data Tables. Drag & drop elements between Desktop Configuration Layout Editor tabs Administrators can now drag & drop Elements between Desktop Configuration Layout Editor tabs. While dragging an Element from a previous tab, administrators will hover over their desired tab, allowing the tab to open and the Element to be dropped onto the Layout. 2

3 Drag & drop elements between Mobile Configuration Layout Editor tabs Administrators can now drag & drop Elements between Mobile Configuration Layout Editor tabs. While dragging an Element from a previous tab, administrators will hover over their desired tab, allowing the tab to open and the Element to be dropped onto the Layout. Drag & Drop Commerce Column Layout Users will now have the ability to drag and drop a Commerce Column Layout between tabs. While dragging a Commerce Column Layout from a previous tab, administrators will hover over their desired tab, allowing the tab to open and the Commerce Column Layout to be dropped onto the tab. Configuration XML <selected> tag for Recommended Items The XML <selected> tag will be added to the Configuration XML within the Pipeline Viewer. This shows administrators if items in the Recommended Parts section of the current Configuration have been selected by the sales user. Stop Current Task Button added to Data Table CSV Uploads A Stop Current Task button will be added to the Status page of CSV Data Table Uploads. This allows administrators to stop a Data Table CSV Upload that is currently running. Failed Migration s containing Reasons & Logs Sent to Administrators Now, when a Migration fails, the administrator will receive an containing a log of the failed Migration stage and the reason for failure. Templates can be selected as a Transition Rule Notification Template can be selected as an option when sending a notification for a Transition Rule. Differentiated Quote and Line Level Attributes in Pipeline Viewer New Action Attributes columns will be added to the Commerce Pipeline Viewer that allow the viewer to differentiate the row as a Quote or Line level Attribute. The Main Doc Action Attributes column displays Quote level Attributes in blue. The Sub Doc Action Attributes column displays line level Attributes in italic purple. Formula Deletion Validation Users will now receive a validation before deleting a Formula that is being used in an Action s Modify tab or default value. This validation asks the user to remove any references prior to deletion and will provide links to the Attributes and Actions that are used in the Formula. Configuration Rules Default Row Grouping to 1 When a user selects a Simple Condition Configuration Rule Condition Type, a red error will not automatically be placed around the Row Grouping when the Add Row button is clicked. The red error will finally appear when an Attribute value is entered into the row and a Row Grouping is not entered; this occurs because the Row Grouping must default to 1. Once the user is finished implementing the row for a Simple Condition, the Conditional Summary will update. Mobile License Validation A validation now runs on Limited Mobile licenses when the limit is altered to ensure that the maximum is not set to a value less than the number of users already enabled for Mobile. 3

4 END USER ADOPTION DOCUSIGN ESIGNATURE INTEGRATION Sales processes will be streamlined with the introduction of the DocuSign esignature Integration. Prior integration with esignature vendors required that documents to be signed be sent through an intermediary, such as a SFA. This new native integration with esignature vendor, DocuSign, eliminates the pass-through step; it facilitates the interaction with both applications and makes the most up-to-date output version available from the Oracle CPQ Cloud interface at all times. New features include: Send CPQ Cloud-generated documents to DocuSign for execution by specified signers Allow signers to sign and save documents Allow sales users to initiate or cancel the esignature process Track status of esignatures Manage the esignatures of multiple documents by distinct signers from the same CPQ Cloud quote END USER ADOPTION GENERAL ENHANCEMENTS Name Doc Engine Document File Attachments Administrators can dynamically name CPQ Cloud document outputs. Sales users can now distinguish documents by their file name. This is available on any user-created document that is generated through XSL Views. Trashed Items will not appear in Transaction View Trashed items will no longer appear in any Transaction View, other than the Trash View. Performance and Adoption Logging Many diverse architectural, product, and implementation elements contribute to the performance experienced on CPQ Cloud. New data regarding servers and network traffic is available to Oracle CPQ Cloud Operations personnel. These metrics will be used internally to more easily assist customers in fixing issues and anticipate potential product issues. INTEGRATION ORACLE SALES CLOUD INTEGRATION Oracle CPQ Cloud enhances its existing integration with Oracle Sales Cloud to provide an improved UX and minimize administration maintenance. This integration allows those currently using Oracle Sales Cloud to utilize the latest features introduced in Oracle Sales Cloud Release 9. 4

5 New features include: View stored Oracle CPQ Cloud proposals within Oracle Sales Cloud Initiate a new Quote version from within Oracle Sales Cloud or Oracle CPQ Cloud Fusion Product Model: Native Parts sync between Oracle Sales Cloud and Oracle CPQ Cloud INTEGRATION GENERAL ENHANCEMENTS CRM Delta Parts Sync The Integration of Parts, Parts Extended Descriptions, and Price Book information between CRMs and Oracle CPQ Cloud will now occur incrementally in order to allow for the merging of changing information. Administrators have the option of choosing to send Parts when syncing/scheduling a Delta Parts Sync (i.e. exporting and/or importing Parts from the last export/import date). This will reduce overall Integration time. Created & Updated fields added to Parts Integration Logs Created and Updated fields will be added to the Parts Integration Logs. When uploading Parts, the administrator must be able to see the number of created and updated Parts within the logs. The logs can then provide a report detailing the total number of added and updated Parts. All supported languages can be enabled at once Prior to this release, a maximum of 15 languages could be enabled at a time on the sales user side, even though Oracle CPQ Cloud supported 159 languages. This limitation will be removed and now all 159 supported languages can be enabled at once. This allows sales users to create Quotes in all customer languages. 5
